Let’s not forget that while Donte Williams was a great recruiter and great guy, he never did anything with the secondary and that unit was always underwhelming despite having the most 4 and 5 stars on the roster. We’d blow coverage multiple times per game over the last couple years and almost nobody could make an open field tackle to save their life. What I saw from the secondary unit against LSU last weekend was significantly better than any game we’ve played in the last 3-4 years. It’s not even close
He was a lazy, terrible coach and our all his energy into getting guys and dropped development. 50% coach. There are two full time aspects to the job. These coaches are required to do both. That’s the “philosophical” shift. Grinch was terrible on both ends 😢😂
While the physical attributes of the defensive players certainly contribute to their success, the primary factor behind their achievements is the highly skilled and experienced defensive coaching staff. Their expertise in developing players and preparing them for the next level of competition is truly remarkable.

Alex grinch wanted smaller dline for his scheme. Lynn scheme requires bigger lineman. That's the difference. We have a coach and scene that works now.
We might not be ready for Georgia/Ohio st rn, give us another 2-3 months watch we will be.
