    Hey Lin this is an awesome one and your explanation outstanding as always. Where have you been for such a long time, didn't see much of you and was waiting for new designs. Happy that you are back. Keep posting new designs. You are my teacher, I'm able to quill because of you. God bless you always.

    As always, good tutorial. I use a ruler to help me remove my work from the comb. It keeps everything straight and supports the whole thing evenly. I keep my finger on the tips of the teeth until it all reaches the end.

    The star is beautiful! I definitely want to give it a try. I was wondering if it would be a little more stable if I glued the bottom sides of each piece together besides gluing them to the middle piece. I’m not sure if that would work, I’d be afraid it would make the star off balance. Have you ever tried that?

    • @azlinaabdul
      @azlinaabdul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much Deb! Yes, please do give it a try. Actually I don't quite understand your question here because I did glue the pieces to the middle part, the bottom part and the top part as well. And it is quite stable after all is done and the glue is completely dried.

    What glue do you use? Love your easy to follow instructions. Always wondered how to use a comb for quilling. Thanks, KJ

    • @azlinaabdul
      @azlinaabdul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi KJ! You're most welcome! I used PVA glue/white glue/wood glue for quilling. I'm so happy to hear that you can follow my instructions easily, that's a relieve because I always worry if people can understand my explanations or not. English is not my first language so it's always a struggle for me to explain sometimes.

    This applies to your new vortex pic in fb! Looks great, can’t find your video for the decorated marquise shapes with sparkling centres? So clever. I heard from a lady that practiced 8 yrs before succeeding with vortex form, did it take you a long time too? Thanks

    • @azlinaabdul
      @azlinaabdul  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Valerie! Actually I didn't make a video on how to make the designs that I made with the new vortex shapes. I didn't think it was necessary because I already made a video on how to make the basic vortex shapes. So whoever watched the video can figure out how to make the designs themselves. Yes of course it took me a few years to figure out how to make the vortex shapes and how to make them using the quilling comb instead of the slotted quilling tool.
