Hello po. I have a Canadian passport but born and raised in the Philippines. I’ll be travelling to the Philippines for 41 days. Do I need a Philippine visa or was that just because you weren’t a citizen of the Philippines before?

hi! so my dad is the same as you, born in pinas and has a canadian passport now and everytime he travels solo or with me, they don’t ask him for a visa as he was a former filipino citizen. i don’t need a visa when i travel with him but solo, yes- which i don’t understand but that’s what the person at the philippine consulate told me and they don’t question when we’re at immigration in the airport. i believe you don’t need a visa but i would inquire just to be sure!

hello! actually po, born and raised ako dito sa canada po pero taga pinas ung parents ko. kailangan ko ng philippine visa kasi nagstay ako sa pinas for over 30 days and i’m not a former filipino citizen. i stayed in the philippines for 2 months po.

@@teamkfamily962 hindi po, at the time of my birth, filipino citizens sila so pwede din ako magapply for dual citizenship sa pinas kung gusto ko so hindi ko na kailangan ng visa ulit.

@@cynigang you are already a dual citizin po if gnun. U dont need to apply. Ur parents just need to report your birth.
