Painting Hot Wheels Cars - Mexican Blanket - Buick Roadmaster. Today I try out some custom painting on a 1:64 Hot Wheels Buick. I wanted to try a sarape or jorongo style paintjob. Proving to be difficult on such a small scale, I believe I pull it off in style. Have a look for yourself!

I loved it! I own a 1969 buick sportwagon, bought it 3 years ago when I was 16 and daily drive it still so this buick stuff is straight up my alley! Those little grills on the side are officially called ventiports, they were on buicks from 1948 or so on up to the present day.
That paint job came out awesome. What clear are you using with the createx paints?

Since you seem to have so many low rider type cars laying around, how about trying an old school “lace” paint job on one? Not sure if you can find lace small enough to use as a stencil, but it’d be cool to see, especially if you do a “ghost” effect with it.

As I was listening and watching this educational video; I was thinking of restoring, these old timer 1950s, 60s and 70s Reader's Digest article sections,, advertisements, front and back covers including. I remember one 1957 advertisement; in one of the 1957 Reader's Digest issues showing an ancient wrist watch, that had a Mexican blanket draped over it.⌚😀👏💙❤👍😄😀
