Today's ladies are not like the ladies from years ago!! Just saying!! I can say the only good thing about the Internet is that you young people can keep great music alive.. love your channel guy's!!❤❤
Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson, Teena Marie, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Carol King, Etta James, Nina Simone, and more. I agree with you!
There are a few young outstanding female vocalists today but for some reason the mainstream music industry pushes the less talented heavily autotune female vocalists and male vocalists as well more so than the talented female and male vocalists that can sing naturally. It is the music inindustry that sucks in the 21st century not the musicians.
@324cmac I like Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. Several of these symphonic metal female vocalists are outstanding as well, especially Floor Jansen, at Dutch vocalist, in the Finnish band Nightwish. th-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rqNddk--5Wwk6dl0 also highly recommend 2 other Dutch vocalists that both started in the 1990s, Anneke van Giersbergen and Sharon den Adel. th-cam.com/video/gX9nHYj95gw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KJBMVjULR2eOXg9_. th-cam.com/video/mvqXTmD53eA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s_W6dOBowOZaqtNp. Both Anneke van Giersbergen and Sharon den Adel are heavily influenced by Kate Bush with both saying Kate Bush is the favorite female vocalist ever. Hell they both covered Kate Bush. th-cam.com/video/WjFKwX0EwFc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=inWUVNWKXshwXuu- th-cam.com/video/BE1zN61AHy4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pVigXskYRQtuzQME
I saw her live and she has a massive voice. "Promises in the Dark" is a must and has a great lead guitar solo. She is classically trained, and it tells.
This video was not a live performance, it's the studio track placed over live video with applause added at the end. I mean, the track fades out. Same with Promises, even if it says live in the description, it's very clearly the studio track.
Man oh man, back in the day we girls all wanted to BE Pat Benatar❤. So many greats; Heartbreaker, Promises In The Dark, Hell Is For Children, “You Better Run”, “Treat Me Right”, and one of the softer ones that moves me is “Invincible”❤ ❤❤
Within Pat Benatar's career she earned 5 Platinum albums, 2 multi-Platinum albums and 15 Billboard Top 40 singles. While in Cananda she had eight consecutive Platinum albums, and she has sold over 35 million albums worldwide. Here's another one of her songs, if interested. "Pat Benatar -Heartbreaker (RESTORED - SUPERSCALED TO 4K)" (by the channel: Crosscut Films)
That's an A++ song in every regard - has no crescendo like outro, but it does not need it to sustain the A++ and forever hold the title as a golden oldie.
I liked the way she moved around the stage, very smoothly and carefully, and on the other hand, a powerful, explosive voice, at this moment you are always waiting for something to happen.
Loved the reaction guys, your take on music, since you're producers and musicians yourself. I tried to look up if you guys have done a reaction for "Hell is for children" (she did a lot of charitable work for abused children) or "Love is a battlefield" (which she won a Grammy award) and I couldn't find either one. Those are two really great songs by Pat Benatar, that won't disappoint. Keep up the great work!❤
She started out as a student of Opera. She broke away and wanted to rock. Her Father damn near disowned her over it. Then a few years later she bought Pop a new house. I saw her BIO it was very cool.
That bass. My favorite Woman rocker! Glad you did “Fire and Ice” Love this song! Yeah about a controller. Pat Kicks it! I mean she was an opera singer before this. What a voice! Neil an excellent guitarist but underrated.
Yes, she still tours and still kills it live. I hope you guys do Heartbreaker, the first single from her first album in 1979. She made an impression immediately. This song rocks.
Bro….your right. I’ve seen them clear back in those days. You guys got the ears. Pat is trained to sing as a young lady but….she went rogue….rock. What you guys nailed is I have stood 20 feet from her and listen to her breathe in the microphone and her voice you guys are right is pure power let it go.
My buddy and I took dates to see Pat back in the late 70s and we forgot we had dates talk about starry-eyed guys seeing and hearing this beautiful girl belt out their tunes.
I think I was 11-12 yrs old.... "Heartbreaker"was the first 45 record I bought, still have it today!!! I love the song "You Better Run"...second video & first woman to play on MTV....I thought,...wow she is so cool!!!
I saw her in 2003 (yeah 20 years ago!) in Toledo at the amphitheater at the Zoo (we are world famous for our zoo) and she was stellar. I was 10-11 when her first records came out so I grew up on her- and I sang from a really young age so this was an early influence even though I wound up singing jazz. I wanted to have that tougher sound - even though it’s not my style- I picked up a lot from her because she’s a well trained opera singer. Way before Mariah singing notes only dogs can hear - Benatar was the real deal and she could deliver. I still like to put on her albums at home alone and try to do a Little Rock singing. Thank you for reacting to her! She’s got a lot of great songs - her first 4 albums albums are solid.
Opera trained singer Pat Benatar, Rock guitarist husband Neil Spyder Girlado, and Punk drummer Myron "Frankenstein" Grombacher...perfect meld of three styles to turn out bangers....devout Catholic couple married more than 40 years despite being in the entertainment industry...
My buddy just saw her in Pennsylvania, and he said she sounded great. Her guitarist Neil Gerardo was still there and why wouldn't he? Pat and Neil have been married for 41 years - who says rock and roll marriages don't last.
My fave Pat Benatar song - she's been married to the guitarist, Neil Geraldo, forever - they are amazing! Yes, they do still tour but I haven't seen them in a couple of years. Great reaction, guys!
If you guys want to see two tiny women with monster voices watch the CMT Crossroads episode with Benatar and Martina Mcbride. Their duet of "Promises in the Dark" is great.
I think she's right up there with Ann Wilson of Heart. Pat's a tough rock diva! Believe it or not, she was trained in opera. One of her big songs was Love is a Battlefield. Also, Hell is for Children. She's still married to her handsome guitar player husband and they are still touring.
Pat's husband, Neil Geraldo, is a highly-underrated guitarist and a big part of her sound. Love the reaction guys.
HIGHLY UNDERRATED!!
SPYDER!
he's *THE* underrated guitarist.
Today's ladies are not like the ladies from years ago!! Just saying!! I can say the only good thing about the Internet is that you young people can keep great music alive.. love your channel guy's!!❤❤

@@midnight-2021 It's both.

The lady has a voice - and a great band. Classic 80s rock.
Benatar is the greatest voice ever. She won her 2nd Grammy of 4 for this one.
Pat…and Ann Wilson from Heart…The best female voices in Rock.
Love Pat...one of my favorites is "We Belong" Her vocal training was in opera. That's why she has an amazing range
I saw her live and she has a massive voice. "Promises in the Dark" is a must and has a great lead guitar solo. She is classically trained, and it tells.
My favorite female rock vocalist, she is a powerhouse
Hell is for children is an absolute must
I have requested that song too. Such a powerful message.
I saw her in concert on Halloween! BEST concert ever!!
Promises in the dark really showcases her opera trained voice! You’ll love this one, I promise.
She was pound for pound, the best singer of the 80’s.
Pats Band is also incredible. Her husband on lead guitar and the inimitable Myron Grombacher on drums.
Yes they still tour. Every summer. I saw her last year with Ann Wilson of Heart. That was a double bill of incredible singing.
That must have been astounding.....I was thinking as I was listening that she and Annie are similar in power and range
Orange County? I wanted to go, but had previous commitments. Pat and Ann are the best!
I seen her back in 1980 for $1 at a rising star concert! She is in the top 3 female rock singers EVER!!!’
Saw her a few months back. She is still impressive.
I saw Pat in concert in the 80s and she kicked ass! Billy Squire opened for her and he was great too.
Check out Promises in the Dark from the same live performance. She kills it as well.
This video was not a live performance, it's the studio track placed over live video with applause added at the end. I mean, the track fades out. Same with Promises, even if it says live in the description, it's very clearly the studio track.
Promises in the Dark is amazing - the high note in that song it WAAAAAAY up there!!!! The best!
"Promises in the Dark" is her best jam. Up tempo songs about heartbreak are always the best.

Heartbreakers, You Better Run and Hit Me With Your Best Shot are the quintessential Pat triumvirate ❤
She's a powerhouse! Saw her a few times in the 80's. Her tour with Billy Squire was fantastic! Check out some of his tunes...he rocks!
Pat and her husband Neil Geraldo were awesome in the early 80s. He is a very underrated guitarist who once played in Rick Derringers band.
Can't tame her voice...you nailed it!
Back in the day she was our rocker. We all wanted to look like her. She is fantastic
5 foot and 85 pounds of Queen of 80's rock n roll❤❤❤ I will always love her, iconic woman she gave us girls rock n roll goals!!!❤❤❤
I like the way these early 80s records sound. Great bass. Drums are all compressed and pillowy.
Took my 17 year old daughter to see her just last summer and yes, she still has pipes and can blast it out!
More Pat! Hell is for Children, You Better Run and Treat Me Right are fine choices! 😅😅
Hands-down my favorite PB song.
Excited to finally see Reactors “Hear” this! Thank you.
Pat is an OG badass...right up there with Ann Wilson. Her catalog is extensive, and her sound defined 80s female-fronted Rock.
She started out as a student of Opera. She broke away and wanted to rock. Her Father damn near disowned her over it. Then a few years later she bought Pop a new house. I saw her BIO it was very cool.
Pat Benatar is a national treasure. Arguably the greatest female rock vocalist ever.
Pat was classically trained as an opera singer-her mother was an opera singer.
One of my favorites when I was a kid in the 80s. That voice. Lots of quality stuff from her.
That bass. My favorite Woman rocker! Glad you did “Fire and Ice” Love this song! Yeah about a controller.
Pat Kicks it! I mean she was an opera singer before this.
What a voice! Neil an excellent guitarist but underrated.
Fantastic! My favorite Pat Song.
Yes, she still tours and still kills it live. I hope you guys do Heartbreaker, the first single from her first album in 1979. She made an impression immediately. This song rocks.
She has a 3 octave range. She has recorded some blues and jazz albums along with rock.
Love Pat, huge fan from the start, teenage boy's Rock heartthrob.
My favorite from Pat.
My buddy and I took dates to see Pat back in the late 70s and we forgot we had dates talk about starry-eyed guys seeing and hearing this beautiful girl belt out their tunes.
This is cool, I never really dug in to Pat Benetar, she’s got a great rasp in that voice
She’s still touring!! Lives in New Jersey ❤
You guys HAVE to do Promises in the Dark and Hell is for Children. Straight BANGERS
Great And Great Band!!
Classic beautiful heartache screams
I think I was 11-12 yrs old.... "Heartbreaker"was the first 45 record I bought, still have it today!!! I love the song "You Better Run"...second video & first woman to play on MTV....I thought,...wow she is so cool!!!
Pat is Nuclear Powered intensity
We had so many great female artists back then! Thanks guys it's a treat watching her and listening to her. Peace!
And they didn't have to dress like strippers/hookers to get fans.
Pat was a classically trained singer who was just a explosion of talent
she's the queen of belt baby
The best voice in rock and roll. Amazing vocalist. Still tours, sounds fantastic 71 yo, just inducted into the rock hall of fame
On yea fellas, she opened for Pink this past summer. We saw them at Fenway Park and she and her band killed it! Still sounds great!
I haven't heard this in years, great request.
She drove us young men absolutely crazy back then.
This lil chic Rocks....awesome...try hell is for children ...its a Jam
Neil and Pat both were very underrated.
Her voice still gives me chills.
One of my first albums, played the heck out of it. Good song!
I saw her in 2003 (yeah 20 years ago!) in Toledo at the amphitheater at the Zoo (we are world famous for our zoo) and she was stellar. Man I forgot how good they were ❤
Shes still rocking today. Plenty of vids here on you tube.
Another artist from Long Island
Thanks for doing this. Great voice. Excellent reaction fellas!Appreciate you 👏 ❤
Phenomenal voice and great guitar. I miss the 80's.
Hell is for Children is her biggest song
Opera trained singer Pat Benatar, Rock guitarist husband Neil Spyder Girlado, and Punk drummer Myron "Frankenstein" Grombacher...perfect meld of three styles to turn out bangers....devout Catholic couple married more than 40 years despite being in the entertainment industry...
My buddy just saw her in Pennsylvania, and he said she sounded great. Her guitarist Neil Gerardo was still there and why wouldn't he? Pat and Neil have been married for 41 years - who says rock and roll marriages don't last.
Pat benetar promises in the dark queen need your lovin tonight helix heavy metal love
Good choice. Overlooked rocker .
Jeez, they were so good back then.
My fave Pat Benatar song - she's been married to the guitarist, Neil Geraldo, forever - they are amazing! Yes, they do still tour but I haven't seen them in a couple of years. Great reaction, guys!
She is still touring. She and guitarist Neil Giraldo have been married since 1982.
You gotta do Pat Benetar's "Hell Is for Children" & "Heartbreaker"
She toured with Pink last year. My went to the concert.
checkin in ...
saw her live in 1981 . amazing . keep up the journey🤘🏼
They formed in the 70's
Her voice was as good live as in the studio. The band was tight as well….
Great reaction! Next up, Joan Jett's I Love Rock and Roll. It is absolute fire. And I can almost guarantee you've heard it.
FIRE!!!!!
Awesome
PB could really belt em out🔥
I think you would really dig her song "Painted Desert". Very cool sound on that song
If you guys want to see two tiny women with monster voices watch the CMT Crossroads episode with Benatar and Martina Mcbride. Their duet of "Promises in the Dark" is great.
Wait till you hear the opening of "SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT".....!
Good song
She was going to be an opera singer, fortunately for us and rock she chose the latter.
I think she's right up there with Ann Wilson of Heart. Pat's a tough rock diva! Believe it or not, she was trained in opera. One of her big songs was Love is a Battlefield. Also, Hell is for Children. She's still married to her handsome guitar player husband and they are still touring.
Pat and her guitarist husband Neil still perform, and her voice is only slightly changed 30 years later. I don't think they have big tours though.
No auto tune. When a singer could really sing.
Pat is really tiny with a great big voice.
She's so tiny, only 5 feet tall but her lungs are huge.
Dynamite comes in small packages powerful bowls
