Personally rugby 08 it just was just completely different it had a lot of stadiums, different teams, the kits were amazing and gameplay was easy and efficient
Quite sad really how much the gameplay has gone backwards since Rugby 08 😭 Rugby Challenge has been so dissapointing, their first game was a very good effort but I feel like they have been getting worse and worse over time as well. Just bring out a remastered Rugby 08 EA pleeeeeease 😔
Personally rugby 08 it just was just completely different it had a lot of stadiums, different teams, the kits were amazing and gameplay was easy and straight forward to use.
I have played most of these and got to say the first EA game (rugby on PC and rugby 2001 on ps2) is quite underrated as not many people got the chance to play it at the time. The collision and ball physics really make it "feel" like rugby to me (as it was played in late 90s early 2000s at least :) ) even though the game is pretty bare bones . Shout out to the 1995 RWC game on the Mega Drive. I remember playing it on an emulator and it can be really fun to go through a world cup. It must have been mind blowing to play it when it was released.
I have great memories of World Class Rugby on the SNES main I guess because it was my first experience with a rugby game. Then I played Rugby 95 on the Megadrive and it was ok and after that it was Jonah Lomu's Rugby on the PS1 which wasn't too bad at all either. The ones in the last few years look good Edit: wow I never knew they released a world class rugby 2!! But I see it was on Famicom so I'm guessing it would've been a Japan only thing
The graphics started to get better starting in 2001, and more and more realistic in later years! BUT they still need to work on making the rucks and mauls more realistic too!
It's due to poor sales mate that's all. It doesn't come anywhere close to the sales of the likes of fifa and unfortuntely it never will. Rugby in game form has a selective audience and not many want to buy it.
Im doing the be a pro career mode, and my international team is South Africa, but my selection status is for Uruguay.. is anybody else'l having that problem?
Gonna have to live with rugby challenge 4 regardless coz EA pulled out from making anymore rugby games due to not making money, so we have to be lucky we have another team trying to create. Its not an easy job to make a game that struggles to make money in the gaming world.
Even after EA pulled out the developers of the EA Rugby games (HB Studios) kept making Rugby games. Rugby World Cup 2011 & 2014 was made by those same developers.
We're never going to see it but I really wish EA would bring out Rugby 2023 and a new Fight Night game. I do like Rugby 20 but you can tell it's a small team and that licencing is hard to come by as half of the teams are missing 😭
I honestly dont care if EA microtransactions the shit out of the next Rugby game just so long as they make one final mordern Rugby game that all Rugby fans have been dying for😫

🤔 What is your favourite Rugby video game of all time? and why?
Personally rugby 08 it just was just completely different it had a lot of stadiums, different teams, the kits were amazing and gameplay was easy and efficient
Rugby 08
@@williamnantana127 Rugby 08 is my favourite too. Too bad the graphics really aged badly as any game from back then.
Jonah Lomu rugby is the best had they just added a few extra things in it would have been perfect
@@supersquatsI agree Jonah Lomu rugby was great fun

yep just copy and pasted right through to rugby challenge 4
@@J13KII rugby 08 was a copy and paste of rugby 05 and 06. why dont they get loads of praise to?
Rugby 08 is still the greatest rugby game of all time
Personally rugby 08 it just was just completely different it had a lot of stadiums, different teams, the kits were amazing and gameplay was easy and straight forward to use.
As well the medal challenges those were amazing too
Comparing changing between rugby 18 & rugby 20 it's literally unmissable but between rugby challenge 1 & rugby challenge 4 I'm still looking at it. 🤣
Jonah Lomu rugby was brilliant
Still is.

I dont think any better rugby game has been made since that EA Rugby 2001
Rugby 08, I still remember playing when I was young, it was one of my favorite games, still one of the best career modes in most rugby games.
Rugby Challenge has barely changed 😂
It's frustrating, they the same company that does Rugby League and there ones are more realistic
Just discovered your channel mate, it's tidy keep it up :)
Thank you!
Great video 🙌🏽
Great video!!!! God bless👑
Rugby 06 was my game. Rugby challenge in 2011 was good but its been 10 years and its the same game with less licenses
Rugby 08, the wwe svr of rugby games lol it was jus simply the best🔥💯

I think they should add
1. HSBC Sevens
and 2. create a player
in rugby 23
Reading the comments I’m so glad that I am not the only one who thinks rugby 08 is peak

Rugby 08 goat !!!! So sad how EA has neglected this game

I think that rugby 2001 is the best...In my opinion it have the best dynamic play and best ruck system
I think we can all agree that Rugby 08 was the best rugby game ever. Why has EA sports not brought out a new rugby game since?
Unfortuntely they didn't make much profit from it mate. It didn't sell well. That's the only reason.
Rugby 08 was shite. JLR97 isn't the only good rugby game so far.
Rugby 2022 got Simon Zebo wrong
Im doing the be a pro career mode, and my international team is South Africa, but my selection status is for Uruguay.. is anybody else'l having that problem?
Jonah Lomu rugby was the best rugby game.
Rugby 08 the best
Why does the firstgame, from 1985 mind you, look like its from an intellevision or atari console from the late 70s? Haha
FERNANDO HIERRO IN RUGBY WORLD CUP 95 🤣🤣🤣

Check the new Game Rugby 24
And trust me EA ain't that great these days
Wow I just found out what rugby was today and this looks much more dangerous then football American football
So weird how rugby game engines peaked in 2007 and hasn't come close to getting good again
Peaked in 1997. Rugby 08 was horrific.
No me gusta el Rugby, no lo entiendo y no lo veo..pero el Rugby World Cup para la Mega Drive es un juegazo, lo estaba buscando hace rato!
Why dont you understand it
Rugby Challenge (2011) had a great potential. Too bad they never improved anything.
Rugby arcades?
I’m not aware of that one? I can’t find anything online. Do you know who made it?
I played a Game called Scrum try, for MAME
I honestly dont care if EA microtransactions the shit out of the next Rugby game just so long as they make one final mordern Rugby game that all Rugby fans have been dying for😫

rugby 2004 Best game
Is it just me or Did 'super rugby' totally rip off the Zelda theme?!
