The soothing melodies of these oldies but goodies songs bring the beautiful memories of my lovelives 6 decades ago. Reminiscing clearly the beautiful feelings when it happened.
I am shy type because I am not handsome but I am brainy. Fourth Year high school, I fell in love with a 3rd year beautiful lass. I tried to commission my classmate and close friend (who is copying answers from me during our exams) to help me. She willingly tell the girl about my feelings for her but rejected me outright, then again and again. I sent her love letters but still in vain. I persisted in what I am doing with the help of my classmate. One day, I was about to send another letter when I called my classmate, she blurted out, Why do you really force yourself on her when she does not like you? Why not look around? " She is not the only fish in the ocean. " When I heard those words, I was hurt but felt some relief. I realized that in the days I used my classmate as letter carrier and bridge for my love, she invited me always to the canteen everyday because their family is rich. And generously give me pad papers during quizzes and exams. After hearing those insulting words, my eyes were opened to the reality that my letter carrier/ classmate has feelings for me. I tried to test the waters and my apprehension was very true. When I told her, I am sorry and said I love you, her eyes glittered like stars in the skies. Happiness followed 'til we graduated. It was a very happy and true relationship. I respected her and never touched her as I believed doing it is ungentlemanly. After our graduation, our relationship went on but later fizzled out for we are in different worlds. She is heaven and I am earth. She was badly hurt when we called it " QUITS ". Your songs inspired me and propelled me through while writing this. BYE
