I remember when your patron supporter credits was a lot shorter! You have come a long way since your shed build, Keith, which is when I started watching your videos. You are one of the few on TH-cam that still has traditional build videos.
If Dylan approves then it is accepted . He is enjoying his sleep . I love the pattern of the sofa and i appreciate very much that you show two ways for those that they dont have the specific power tools . Great job as always , i didn t expect something less from you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only do i like your products but also your honesty when filming making mistakes and how you overcome them.We all make mistakes im sure. The workshop is looking great and you must be well chuffed in how the move and workshop upgrade has worked out.
I did enjoy the video! My cats watch with me, and are now looking at me like I should be building them furniture. I think I may have to start watching your channel when they are asleep. LOL
For someone who has only a table saw, could use it to make splines to reinforce the joints. As for me, I have 4 cats, 6 chihuahuas 1 large dog and 1 Chinese silky chicken soooo.... I guess I would need to make 12? Brilliant idea and maybe a good Xmas gift for a pet lover. Cheers!
Making a Cat Sofa, what an insane idea. Gotta subscribe, I love Cats (animals) and have to build a cat sofa too, well, 3 of them, 1 for each Cat I have. Thanks for the idea.
I just noticed while scrolling down to read the top comments that you almost have 100k subscribers :O I remember subscribing myself back when you had less than 15k, you're doing something right!
Dylan: I'm not just a pretty face you know also Dylan: Gurl I'm serving you body, I'm serving you side eye, I'm serving you fluff fluff fluff across the board!
Another great little project nicely done 😁👍. Nice safety tips (for the arm cuts), these tips are worth there weight in gold 👍. Nice to see Peter Millard is using your wax and it looks great on his latest project. Well done Keith, keep it up 😁👍
I love the angles and design however I’d prefer adding inset panels of the cushions rather than cover the entire ply frame. Just because the frame itself is clean lined and beautiful! Anyways great job and curious what you’d come up with using inset cushioned panels that are invaded by the ply or solid wood bed
...well I thought of it but not sure I’d build it as clean lined and perfectly as you did lol! Seriously I reread this and smacked myself because it’s beautiful as it is!!! Pls don’t change it, I shared with my family and friends that are huge cat lovers and not one of them thought it needed a single change, it’s beautiful with the hints of wooden feet at the bottom (you’re well known for really cool feet) and I think what I love the most about your work, besides it’s clean lines, modern yet retro too, you reuse materials that are often over looked or tossed out and yet how you incorporate them into your work is not just recycling but it adds more character and to me a homey quality! The stripes are precious against your cats stripes, how fun is that! Btw my ppl love love your cat bed as well as I too
Hands up everyone who rewound the video trying to figure out when/how Keith cut his finger!? :-) Seems like the bandage appeared around the 5:00 minute mark... I trust that was not from persuading your cat to lay on the bed! :-)
Is that masking tape from "The Official Woodworkers Emergency Medicine Kit" on your finger?. Just curious, no criticism. I've used the same finger patch myself. It didn't please my mom, the nurse.... but it got the job done. Cool cat sofa, btw. I plan to make. That will make seven of your projects that I've done. Thanks.
That's why I showed a method for making it without the domino, I guess you missed that because you turned off. I worked hard to earn the money for the domino, so I'm not going to apologise for using it
I'm not innocent of this by any means, but... why do we insist on adding complex jointing (dominos here, plus your suggested screws) when the use is to support a very light animal. I am not suggesting we endanger animals by making unsafe sofas for them, but wood glue is stronger than the wood (usually), so straight glue joints should be enough to hold Dylan for ever.
Wood glue on plywood end grain is not that strong and requires re-enforcement, especially as I could potentially be packaging and posting them somewhere else in the world 👍
the best way I've found is to put an item of clothing you've been wearing on it, they like the scent. After a while once your scent is on it, remove it and hey presto! :-)
I think Dylan's got a nicer set of furniture than I do! Wouldn't mind a human sized one of these for sure.
What a fun and cute project!! Tempted to make something like this for Hans 😍
Would love to see that 👍👍👍
I have always loved cats keep making cat furniture!
Idea for a cat. good job. congratulations....
Those clamping skills ❤️

thank you! What's interesting is that build views don't seem to perform so well, so I can understand why a lot of makers move away from them!
Yes, more Dylan content. Almost at 100k fella 👍🏻
that is one pampered cat!

Dylan seems to enjoy the sofa 😺

😂
Yes, I enjoyed the video very much. Thank you.
He looks pretty happy with the sofa/bed.
Your upholstering is not to shabby at all mate! 👌🏽
Nice work. 👍🏽
Cheers Bill!
Nice looking cat bed
Thanks Keith! A good "bedtime story"...😉
Looks great. I hope they sell quickly
Maybe you can make a miniature foot stool to go along with it!
I love that idea !
Cheers Matt me too 🙂
@@animationcreations42 haha
Great idea. My cat was jealous what this video with me lol. One of my next projects. Thanks for the idea.
Really Nice!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Great video. Dylan must be the happiest cat in the world! Mahalo for sharing. : )

thanks, and thanks again for your roller blind idea :-)
Cool video 👍
Nice subtle plug for your shoutout on the Measuring Up Podcast!
😂 👍
Omg soooo cute
That is an awesome bed.
But TBH, I liked the video straight away based on the thumbnail. 😂
You really do look after your cat !
Great build Keith and i'm sure Dylan would agree as well ha ha ha.

This is amazing! Love your channel.
Nice work ^^

Good to see you using the Domino you beat me too. still not found one that close or at that price.
Dylan loves it.
Lord Dylan... is enjoying...!
Thank you...

Nice to see you getting to make some more enjoyable projects for yourself. They look really nice Keith. Regards Karl

Shantay, you stay
😂
Another method of joining the arms would be to cut slots and use a spline between them.
great idea
Nice job Keith, look's like the cat as claimed though , have a nice day !!!.
Enjoy these pet projects!

Great build Keith 👍.
Looks like that sharpened butter knife caused some collateral damage to your hand though - ouch 😖!
I did that on a tape dispenser, it's always the least threatening tools that get me!
Almost at 100k!! After that I recon it Chanel is gonna grow way faster. Nice job man💪💪
genial
You are assuming that Dylan is going to use the bed! Knowing cats, he will look at it and decide that your bed is much more comfortable...
Spider: stop filming me!
Hands up everyone who rewound the video trying to figure out when/how Keith cut his finger!? :-) Seems like the bandage appeared around the 5:00 minute mark... I trust that was not from persuading your cat to lay on the bed! :-)
I actually did it on a tape dispenser... It's always the least threatening tools that get me!
When we let our guard slip...
Humans are more valuable and important than animals.
:)
Well I know who I'd rather spend my day with
All of these terminology and tools.. I’m just going to buy a cat sofa. This is too hard 😂
Where did you get the 'Makers Mark' brand from? Hope the cat is worthy?
eBay!
eBay!
@@RagnBoneBrown Thank you.
You didn't show how to fix the cat to the sofa? Mine is just staring at it from across the room
Nice project Keith. I do hope Dylan is getting a percentage from the profits?
he gets paid in Dreamies

Im in love with you ♥️ and all your proyect
What did you do to your finger?
Did you cut your finger when cutting the foam by any chance?
I cut it on a tape dispenser haha
What table saw do you use?
Hi Nick, see my tools in description box
❤DYLAN❤
Do you sell many of you projects?
they all sell eventually, some take longer than others
What length staples are you using to fix the fabric there Keith?
I think they are 12mm👍
@@RagnBoneBrown thanks - I'm long overdue getting an air stapler and new cats beds for their highnesses are top of the list of uses!
@@chillyspoon the Clarke one I have is pretty good, finding staples that fit it isn't always easy but eBay is your friend :-)
🎉🎉🎉🎉
You look like a proper youtube woodworker using a Festool ...lol
thanks, I think?! 😂
looks amazing but i'm sure i'm not alone that once the Festool Domino comes out I turn off. For the average woodworker a biscuit jointer is expensive.
That's why I showed a method for making it without the domino, I guess you missed that because you turned off. I worked hard to earn the money for the domino, so I'm not going to apologise for using it

How to make my cat actually use it... hmm
Suggest sprinkling a little catnip on it.
