In 1973, after the bloody military coup in Chile, Isabell Allende fled into exile in Venezuela. In 1982, she sat down to write a 'goodbye' letter to her 100-year-old grandfather. Her letter turned into a 600-page book, House of Spirits. This is video discusses the Chilean historical context.
