In my opinion, (for what it's worth) Dag Wiren was the "Swedish Sibelius". OK his composition style was entirely different and he didn't quite have the soaring Sibelius themes, but his invention, orchestration and development were every bit as good as Sibelius. This is a wonderful symphony and needs to be heard.

People tend to project their own experience (conflicts, bad moments) on other things.
