Here are some tips to get you going in Diablo 2 Resurrected, perfect for the launch of the game on the 23rd September or to get you going in the open BETA which starts on the 20th August

this is gold! you managed to make a guide in easy words, starting at the beginning, not going too much into detail but saying everything that has to be said. this is become my go to guide that i will recommend to new players.
u dont need to bother with extra gear when u die ..u can save and exit and u will get your LAST CORPSE at your spawn point ..last corpse be carfull if u died 2 3 times its naked u porbably will get nothing back..also there is a way of getting your sockets out ussing cube recipe Hel rune + portal scroll will remove the runs from the sockets and destroys them leaving u with the base..
Never EVER put gear on after you die. Be careful not to pick up a weapon. Sometimes if you get kicked you will find a corpse with a shield and all your gear is gone forever. Rare, but it can happen!
Oh and don't leave important stuff on the ground. Sometimes stuff just vanishes. Especially D2R.
I just Remembered, we used to leave a few points unassigned early on, in case you got a item with specific minimum ability requirements.
So that your barb could equip that really good item that needs a minimum dex (as well as strength) to use.
Otherwise you could find that meta item and have to wait till you level up to get the points to put in your off stat ability, even if you already meet the minimum level requirement.
Except for points into Health, wait till you _have_ to spend the points based on your equipment.
That's a good tip, I remember running into a stat requirement wall early on a lot
Coming from d3 being the only diablo game ive played the inventory management has been tough

Thanks for the tips and refresh. I've been playing Project D2, so these D2 beginner runewords really helped. Especially remembering to keep the bases when I start playing D2R (if I find them) is key!
To all new players: NEVER put on new gear when you die. If you click your 'old' corpse, the items that won't fit in their new slots will be moved to your inventory. When that is full, they are dropped on the ground for everyone to pick up/steal.
Also, if you leave the after dying a second time, you'll only get back your "fallback" gear and your main items will be gone for good.
If your corpse is in an unretrievable spot, just leave the game and rejoin. Your corpse will then lie in front of you in town.
Well when I tried to go with nothing on and died for a second time all my gear was gone from my original corpse. Didn’t know you could quit and it would be in town, that’s an excellent tip, thanks 😊
I came to say this. I was hoping they would change this for the remake.
Energy?! You never put into Energy unless you're an Energy Shield Sorceress, never!
God feels like i need to do a degree in Diablo just to get started. I couldn't find the map for about 20 minutes on ps5. Currently getting my ass handed to me in some cave on third quest. Haven't a notion what i am doin. This is 90% chinese to me. but i appreciate the video.
I bought d2r a month ago, i still play it nowadays, okd d2, an hour every now and then, currently frozen orb/static field sorc.
Got soo burnt out on d3, second season i end after 7 or 8 days, all journey completed, all etherils collected, all augs...
Now its back to PoE and waiting for d2r.

Bliss sorc are best until you can get an infinity, then light sorc is a beast.
Nice guide mate! I played D2 through once when it was released, then the expansion and that was it. Nice to have a refresher. I'm coming to realise for what appears to be such a simple game, it has more depth than it first appears.
Of all the videos on you tube,yours is the best for new players.Very helpful if your a div like me.
you can get runes and gems out of items cube recepy hell rune + single town portal and you remove anything just you lose runes or gems that you unsock
Tip for console players, if you have problem that includes attacking enemies instead of for example destroying barrels that block your way, or picking up items, maybe taking a shrine, then you need to clean up your x/a (x-ps5, a-xbox) which is your action key, and default attack from the beginning. The only way to solve attacking instead of taking Action is to CLEAN your action key. With it clean you can have absolute control in more difficult situations and do things in order that YOU decide.

Thanks for all the videos on D2R you actually convinced me to buy in! I never played D2 but several people who have told me it’s great so I’m looking forward to it. Your advice is VERY welcome and appreciated! Question for those ‘in the know’, I was told if you die and can’t get to your body to just log out and back into the game and your body will be in town? Sounds like that shouldn’t work but I’m a noob to D2 so just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks all
u can repair gear with RAL rune by just doing the cube recipe ,andy in late game for that expencive gear repairs
Never EVER waste points into energy. Maybe during the beta, but on actual release, you’re going to hurt your build. You can get energy/mana from gear at mid levels. You’ll be fine. DONT PUT HARD POINTS INTO ENERGY. Unless you’re an ES sorc ^.^
FYI only only HARD points in synergies work to increase other skills..., + skills from items dont affect syngeries. ofc i could be wrong, havent played D2 in like 15 yrs

NEVER EVER PUT STUFF ON IF YOU DIE! There is a chance you will lose it all if you get kicked or leave game. Be careful don't pick anything up like a shield helm or weapon. Don't risk losing it all.
The game will occasionally give you the wrong corpse when you exit game.
If you die unplug the ethernet cable and power cable, turn pc on, restart pc and your body will be in town.
Actually there is a hordric cube recipes to remove gems or runes
Yeah, it's a pretty late game thing to do and costs expensive runes, you probably don't want to bother with it in early game.

When you were talking about death... You said go and get your body and your stuff . So if I die in multiplayer can other people steal my gear off the ground? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
No they can not, they can steal your gold, but not your gear.
The gear can only be picked up by you. when you get to the place where you died, your body will be lying on the ground. you klick the body and get the gear back on again.
If you have equipped other things after you died, for example a helm, the helm you had when dying will be put in inventory. if you have no space in the inventory, its gonna keep be on the ground on your "body" (the corpse of you) even though its just the helmet left.
you can both respec and remove sockets with the cube. ain't cheap tho xD
you actually can remove runes/gems from socketed items, you just cant KEEP those runes or gems...
You can unsoc item... Hel+tp in the cube dude. Or you talking not LoD?

Both but probably mostly D2R
countess can drop 4 runes. Had that happen last night with my sorc. I average 2 drops from her most runs.
Making a video of beginner tips but had no idea that you can't socket an item currently equipped on your mercenary. 🤦♂️
What happens if you die, and then disconnect?
Will you lose all of your items?
Then you can go back to diablo 3

I did play d2 back then, but rarely online, and I'll be playing Resurrected too.

It got nothing aside the "good graphics"
When games made in UE5 comes out D2R will be dumped faster than Activision can spell lawsuit
Just take a look at Black Myth: Wukong
It's set for release in 2023 and these "good graphics" in D2R are GARBAGE in comparison.
So how long will a game last, who's main achievement (graphics) is already being done better in other games, BEFORE D2R is even live....?
