Your courage to travel the road that seems to be leading to nowhere is very remarkable. Your drone footage is comparable to national geographic documentary......God bless and protect you all the time. People who can't travel but like me because of age.....still got the chance to see the world.....because of your daring and adventurous spirit.

This truly shows the resilience, tenacity of the people who can live peacefully and contentedly in such harsh environment. Sometimes, harshness brings appreciation and growth. The road network can only be done by a centralised government as nation building, not just money making. Well done China, something many countries in the world can learn and admire.❤

I'm really enjoying Unseen China. Beautifully crafted and presented travel vlogs. Like you I find real daily lives with markets and different foods more interesting than famous tourist sites. My wife and I visited China in 1994 for a friend's wedding and travelled by ferry and steam train from Shanghai to Xiamen. Back then the highways were empty - built before they were needed unlike in our country when they are built years too late. The progress of China is amazing but it's good to see that the Chinese traditions of friendliness and generosity to strangers have survived.
I love the variety of people, scenery, food and landscapes in your vlogs and your nice straight forward and friendly presentation. Thank you from New Zealand.

Gansu's cultural history is quite famous, such as the famous Silk Road. Gansu was a transportation fortress for exchanges between China and the West in ancient times. There are many military relics and castles. Many poems were left in ancient times, such as Jiayuguan Pass and Yumen Pass. Gansu Province also has the famous Dunhuang Mogao. Grottoes and other classical art.

@@DanielVanDyck The meaning of travel is to understand the world with your own eyes. Chinese police will not monitor an ordinary tourist, that is meaningless. Chinese police are very different from European police, they will help you with anything. There is a saying in China that if you have trouble, find the police. This is not a joke, it is a different phenomenon caused by different social cultures. There is no difference between good and bad, just different. Experiencing a different world and culture is the meaning of travel. You don't have to listen to me, experience it yourself, and you will get the right answer. I wish you a pleasant journey and all the best.

I spent probably a quarter of my life in desert countries, not like this though. They were hot places, and I had the sea nearby too, never any need for warm clothes or gloves. Another beautiful place and another beautiful video to show us all about it. Lovely!

Now - it's clear: in your heart you are a true geographer. For - who else would travel through and explore a vast province filled with little else but salt lakes at 3000 m elevation. Your drone shots are fantastic; they bring out so much more than the 3rd dimension. (Know nothing about drone flying but am surprised that you can keep them airborne against such strong winds.) Thank you, Yan, for such an interesting video. (Perhaps one day in the future we should send you to the Moon, Mars,...?)

You can only do this with Chinese drones, especially DJI. If you try this with US-made drones like Skydio etc, it will end in tears.

Nihao Yan......Hello Yan...Today's travel with you and driver friend felt very different, like your last episode to the town in the middle of the desert. These are places one would never know existed but for the fortune of having you as our "Tour Guide". I was thinking how desolate and lonely life must be to many of the wonderful people you encounter, but they seem to be content with what they do and in a way very peaceful no knowing what a really chaotic world we live in. With every episode you open another window into the real life of China, it's regions, it's people, culture and food. Take care of your health. I liked your coat and I am glad it kept you warm. Drone views were spectacular, lakes of different color like a kaleidoscope. See you on your next vid. ZaiJian ....good bye Yan. Texas USA Elizabeth💖💐 👋👋
