Mallsoft is so perfect. Sometimes it makes you wanna vibe, sometimes it echoes nostalgic memories from the past, sometimes it feels romantic, and sometimes it’s a beautiful blend of all of these. Fantastic mix as always ❤

nice tracks what mall is the picture from? it kinda reminds me of san Antonio downtown mall but i can't say for sure (edit) This is Trafford Center in Manchester UK... what a beautiful mall
It's the Trafford Centre indeed! I had a chance to go and visit it later this year and I've never quite seen anything like it in the modern day, it's like it's kept all of the hallmarks of a vintage mall while staying modern - foliage, fountains, themed areas, it's all there. Absolutely breathtaking place to look at! :)

Reminds me of La Gran Plaza here in Guadalajara, México. At the turn o century, the mall used to have warm colors, palms and even a wall-of-water fountain right in the middle. Nowadays the fountain is gone and the warm colors evolve to a white and silver pattern. Very nice mall, though

Where I'm from, our malls do extremely well and always have people of all ages milling around. The mallsoft genre is very unique to me, because even though a lot of it is supposed to bring out feelings of childhood nostalgia - my feelings are still current. So, listening to mallsoft really just... makes me want to drive to the mall and hang out there! Get a bite to eat at the food court, and head to the department store perfume section! Keeping the malls up with the times and as the 'main shopping centres' of a locality is part of the secret to how you keep them afloat.
That’s a really interesting perspective! Living more in the present than the past. My local malls are a mixed bag - some are very popular, but often the bigger ones are much more empty than their heyday. I think for me it’s the aesthetic - the emptier mall used to be full of old hallmarks of malls of the past like foliage, water features, themed areas and the like, and now it’s just…white and sterile. I’d love to know whether reintroducing the older features would make a difference! Thank you for listening to the mix my friend :)

Mall department stores like Sears went bankrupt, and the malls in my town were updated to be modern - so though malls aren't "dead" where I am, they certainly were susceptible to the times. I definitely like the more elaborately-decorated malls of past eras. The West Edmonton Mall is an example of a place that clung onto that a bit. "White and sterile" is a good way to put it. Soulless, too. I _wish_ older features were introduced - I think it makes it way better, but maybe I'm biased as a vaporwave/mallsoft lover haha
