I am a 68 year old man beginning to learn the Spanish language. I started the Pimsleur app January of 23’. I began questioning whether Pimsleur could take me to conversational fluency without the more traditional forms of second language learning. Is your channel designed to take individuals to a reasonable level of Spanish competency. I’m on lesson ten from the very beginning . The language tutor using like in Spanish. This is from four years ago. Is this where I should be starting ? If I don’t get a reply I’ll leave this same comment on one of your more recent posts. Thank you.

Why is there a question mark before and after a question in Spanish?
I have been doing fine up to this point. Is anyone else confused?
I am not getting how the word “like” even fits into these sentences? Any help is appreciated. I never took Spanish classes. Just trying to self teach through here. He’s very good but I’m a just a little lost
And one last thing if como means how then if we’re starting off all English sentences with “what” then how come we’re using “como” which means “how”? That adds to more confusion for me. 😊

Are we obliged to add the pronoun at the end ,can't we just say "cómo es ?" instead of "cómo es ella/él/usted?"
Ellos for a group of boys. Ellas for girls. What if the group consists of both boys and girls ? How do we ask then ?
It would be ellos if I’m not mistaken! At least that’s what I was taught😌!

I have a question, at around 4:20 you said "What are you all like?" turns into "¿Cómo son ustedes?." Can it also be turned into ¿Cómo sois vosotros?" (in the informal way)

If we ask ‘how is he ?’ in Spanish, how do we know that we need to answer with a permanent condition, as opposed to saying ‘he is fine !’

"what are you all like". Shouldnt we write it as, "como sois vosotros".

Yes you can
If you are typing on an iPhone, just hold down the key, and a pop-up appears with the various accents that letter can have. Just select the correct one. This works to get “ñ” in addition to accented vowels. (á, é, í, ó, ú)

Salir means to leave, as in you're leaving a room or going somewhere. Dejar means to leave something, like to leave something on a table.

Can you explain me what is difference between- ¿Cómo estás? And - ¿Cómo eres usted?
It’s really more “like” ( :)) saying “what do you do?” in english - as in job, or pastime or permanent hobby. In english you rarely say “what is he like?” except in a very narrow “personality” sense. 🤔
Cómo means how and like both Either one of them please tell me

Not every phrase has direct translations, and I guess we just have to leave it at that? You can relate this to saying "Tell me something about yourself" to someone you're just meeting.
