Nick was ahead of his time. He would've been perfect for today's NBA. I remember watching him play at Austin Peay in Clarkville. Our coach would take us to the games. He was a great player. Had to come back and check out his highlights. Forgotten great.
I played some ball with him in grade school and he was so good that if he was guarding me from throwing the ball inbounds, chances were I couldn't get the ball through him.
And Jodi Allen R I P he was my teammate at Holmes middle school, we were from rival gangs in Flint,Mi he from YOGD and me from PHP, but JD was and will always be the homie one of Flint Michigan's best pure and flashiest PG's and best overall players period, REST in PEACE my (Brother) u are truly missed, PS Nick Stapleton was one of the very best PG's out of the Best hoop city, and cities period, there's truly no city in the world like Flint Michigan, that's why they call us that are born and raised here Flintstones, because we are literally built and made from and out of Rock, and Nick Stapleton perpetuated that, I've I've to this day have NEVER seen a point guard like him, he Is truly one of a kind, so Shot out to Nick Stapleton, one of the Coldest from Fly City.

Nick's passion to get better and winning was an inspiration to not only to me, but to the rest of Clarksville's youth. Well deserved!
