I get Rammstein vibes from their sound, especially the guitars
This song is honestly top 3 for me out FTWWTE and Holy Hell (haven’t heard the rest but can’t imagine they are too different from the holy hell sound tbh) this song was OK at first but like any new sound the more listens I gave it’s honestly unreal. The bass before the breakdown is fire
Got some rammstein and linkin park vibes
A lot of people are hating the track because it’s “generic”. For me, it’s not even that. A lot of the same people listen to “generic” hardcore and metalcore all the time. As long as it’s heavy, they’re happy with it. This song doesn’t boast the same sort of lyrical genius Architects is known for. The chorus is pretty cliche. On top of that, aside from the pretty good riff, there’s nothing too special about it. Overall, it kinda feels like a track that could have been cut from their last record. It’s not horrible, just not as polished and evolved as Animals. A song which is very similar in many ways but went the extra mile while this song really doesn’t.

I feel like I'm the unpopular opinion in saying that Animals was the weakest song on the the last album for me; and THIS one feels like the better version of it lol
tasty riff indeed. I do agree is so different than what they even released last year. I will always love architects, and it's great they are doing something different.. Finding an Identity of their own past the Tom era. We could have lost them after the All our gods have abandoned us cycle.. Thankfully we didn't, and they are still here growing each year, with each release.

The Hook is so Linkin Park like, Sam sounds much like Chester but i like this one. I`m a bit scared the old (till Holy Hell era) Architects are dead
This song is pretty good, not their best track. It’s a bit generic. However it’s still decent enough. It gets the job done. Basically animals 2.0 I hope the rest of this album is better because I absolutely love architects.
My thoughts exactly. Problem is, I expect more than "gets the job done" from Architects, because I love this band.

I feel so conflicted with the album. Like....it’s good but it’s definitely my least favorite of theirs. Feels sort of generic and lazily written.

Literally sounds like sonne of rammstein.
It's not "bad" by any means, they're all fantastic musicians and i'm guessing there's a big audience for this sound. I don't even mind if they're trying to reach a bigger audience, respect the grind. All that said, it's absolutely less interesting to me in pretty much every way than pre FTTWTE.
I used to feel that Sam cared in every song. It was so easy to hear his pain/heart/intention. Now it just feels like they sat in a room and said "how can we write a good rock song?" Just my opinion tho!
100% agree. It just sounds like... "mainstream" rock now.
The new I prevail beat everything. You need to react to that.

feels like a song that didn't fill it's potential to me, I would've loved if Sam went heavier on this song as there was a lot of playing room, but I love industrial, linkin park and loved their last album so I hope they continue in this direction
Kinda reminds me of architecture and papa roach mix up, it's definitely different then what I ever heard from them so far.

If they stuck with this sound I'm all for it but I hope it will be consistent and not just a one off. I do love Industrial sounding music and although the lyrics are generic doesn't stop me from loving the song
You guys should check out the band Project Vela their song “Watch You Leave” it is a couple years old but great song
As a long time fan of the band its super hard to say anything negative because with everything that has gone on it just feels wrong to say anything. However what I would say is, not that the band isn't capable of creating music to the similar level as previously done (its hard to guess because they simply haven't tried to do that) and with the new music its like they're purposefully resisting adding anything extra to their sound, it sounds so stripped back musically and so much more emphasis is now given to the vocal melody which it wasn't before, Sam would be almost monotone in some songs because of all the musicianship going on behind him.
They'll always get people complaining about the new sound, they have had that since Ruin came out and everyone moaned it wasn't Nightmares 2.0. However just go back and listen to any of their older stuff, forget that its "heavier" because in some instances it really isn't but (sounds so pretentious) actually listen to the music, it has so many layers musically going on, the tempo changes, the way the drums and guitars change throughout the songs, the dynamics. I just quickly skipped through Nihilist and there are like 8 different changes at least in what the song does. Tear gas has maybe like 3/4 if you really want to count a half time as a change.

I would say "old sound", they seriously sounds like 2005 generic rock band. I instantly get Nine Lashes / Red / Egypt Central vibes. It just sad that band with such a great sounds evolve/devolve to something like that. There's a lot of band sounding like that, ignoring if it's good or bad, but not too much bands that sounds like OG Architects.
this doesn't sound like a generic rock band at all especially from 2005. You can dislike it but come on, atleast get your genre's and comparisons right

That isn't so surprising. Linkin Park was very much a frontrunner when it came down to switching things up within their musical style and trying out new things. Even through telling a story in a music video was something they did A LOT.

I honestly wasn't too big on this track. it sounds super generic. I loved their last song and all the other albums but this just felt boring

@@Drawbear11 tbh I didn't get bmth vibes too much. I thought of Rammstein mixed with the glitch song or whatever it was called by parkway drive. just mainstream radio arena rock which isn't too bad but to go from one of the best unique metalcore bands ever to this is wild to me
It's like Architects was trying to sound Rammstein. But wanted to look Eskimo Callboy. Overall the song wasn't too exciting. Very predictable.

@@redclaw72666 yeah.. I mean.. I try to be positive on every bands new music even if they change. But this is just so bad. Like.. Gravedigger, naysayer etc, the fkn tasty guitars and massive drums ? There is absolutly nothing in this. The riff is like a fkn 0-5-7 that every kid plays in his bedroom. Nah.. this is just not good enough and for me it is not Architects.. If they played an old Architects song you go " thats architects". This song, my first guess was rammstein ... Its sad.
