      Follow up - cooking to temperature is the best cooking advice I’ve ever recieved. I cooked the chicken to 165 and it’s the JUICIEST I’ve ever had!!!! Truly a game changer thank you!!

    I have one of these beasts, what a machine! I always butterfly my chicken breasts, makes for faster cooking and less risk of undercooked chicken (and the associated risks).

    I may have missed this but when using the Doneness mode with thermometer...does it auto turn off once it reaches the target temp?

    Chicken isn't my favorite either, but I'm trying to eat more of it these days. The instant read thermometer is a Godsend!👍

    The sliding will be different for everyone. A major factor will be how well their cabinets were installed. I always have them installed with a little angle towards the back. So when cleaning or with spills it all rolls back a little instead of onto the floor. But if the installer messed up and put too much pitch towards the front then they'll have a rough time with this grill.

    Thanks so much for the video. I just received my ninja. I’ve tried chicken breasts 2 nights in a row. Both times chewy and dry. I did not use the probe, but checked it with a meat thermometer. I’m going to try again, with the probe. I will get it right! You make it seem easy.

    Loved your presentation. Please make more videos using the smart thermometer. I had a very hard time trying to learn to use the thermometer on my last foodi smart grill (last years model) I think this grill will be easier because of the actual dials on the front. The virtual “dials” on the last one were hard for an older lady to grasp.

      I am so glad to hear someone else talking aboutthhe controls and the thermometer on the Smart XL 6 in one! That is on my only complaint. I want the new smart xl 7 in 1 because of dials and heated grill grate!

    Looks good, CJ! Have you ever cooked bone-in/skin-on chicken breast on your Foodi or other electric grill or air fryer? I love breast meat but I’m not too fond of boneless/skinless.

    Hi, CJ, HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU: Have two grills, original and XL Pro - how do you determine when to use the actual grill or air fryer for steak, chicken or fish? I seem to use always use the air fryer for just about everything I cook. Always appreciate you and your videos. You have such a cute personality!!!

    YUM, the foodie pro 7 in 1grill is in my cart, does it need any accessories, or does it come with everything we need? For the foodie I bought all the accessories needed to do all I love to do. You just keep on rockin' more fish and homemade pizza please please please, 😁

      I haven’t noticed either way. I turn it on and turn the nob to the setting I want and it shows the temp and time defaulted for it.

    Hi CJ, thanks for the awesome video. I have a question about getting the $80 warranty on Ninja website for the grill and griddle. By any chance do you know that if I can buy the grill as a present and then get the warranty later as I would like to confirm the person would like it to keep it first? Or do I have to buy the warranty at the same time when I purchase the grill? Many thanks in advance.

    I just got my ninja griddle and grill. I made chicken 1 time so far and the marinade just totally burnt off. I had it set to 170 degrees. Have you had that issue?

      I haven’t. Maybe drop the temp 25-50 degrees. Or use a marinade without sugar in it. Or use a dry rub seasoning.

      The pro is just basically the temp probe. Not sure it’s worth it.

    Can you please help me. I've had two foodi smart xl grills thinking one was defective but everytime I use the preset function for chicken breasts well done my chicken is dry and tough to chew through days later. any tips? am i doing something wrong like leaving the chicken too long in the fridge? I set it out for 30 minutes before putting it in the grill...

      Are you cooking to internal temps? I usually pull mine at 160f internal in the thickest part. And let rest to 165f. Juice every time
