@@trollmeistergeneral3467 Okay, i was only guessing. I was thinking the music was good & it was before the country was swamped by third world immigrants, so that's where I was coming from.
Rest In Peace Steve. What a beautiful song that always reminds me of the 70's.....why have the years gone by so fast?...feels like it was only yesterday.
Yes ,you are so true! 70s were wonderfull. The song reminds me of my first trip to London. It was the place to go if you was a Mod. Greetings from Germany
Spent a fortune on juke boxes playing this every night. Loved it then and love it now. The guy was so cool I just wanted to be him. Gone but will never be forgotten. RIP Steve
So very sad to hear that Steve Harley is no longer with us. I love this song so much because it takes me right back to some of the happiest times of my life. I love everything about this video, the song, the platform boots, the bags and Steve's stunning outfit which I still say is one of my favourites of all time. RIP Steve, hearing this song always makes me smile and I hope you're smiling now too. 🙏❤
His clothes are so elegant. I was 25 years old when this was released. Teaching in Basingstoke. What a god awful place. Can't believe I lived there for four years!
What a stunning track. I return to it each and every time I am searching for help. Steve was a good friend of my older brother so I met him a few times back in the day. As we say "this fella is, and always been propa". Love to you Steve x
May have been the thing that took me out of depression in exam week and helped me row in the math test. Pretty crucial actually, would have dropped out of studies if I had not made it. Indeed, thanks for the song Steve!
His brother was emile ford who with his band the checkmates got to number one in the uk with WHAT DO WANT TO MAKE THISE EYES AT ME FOR ,, r.i.p George and Steve .
Great great song, I was very young when it came out but I knew it was really good , and it was. Well done Steve, people like you made GBs reputation in music in those days.
One of my first live concerts - Birmingham '75 or '76 - fantastic then and fantastic now... so blessed to have grown up with bands and exceptional music in my formative music life!
Cockney Rebel ❤ Rest in Peace, since i heard he died age 73, think not i do what they want. Hardly, newspaper business and files enough to continue, a bit Cockney yeahhh. These genius folks here in South East North Brabant, les Pays Bah, well now should be clear by now. Great song, thanks so Far Non Fiction with a Smile, of course Flowers 🎉
From a time period when artist seeked to be originals, develop their own unique style. Steve Harley did all that with charm. intelligence and slightly black comedy and surrealism. One of my fav artists of the 70s! His music is still strong for me, still a very personal expression. Big respect Steve. Big respect. R.I.P.
Gutted to hear of Steve’s passing. This is one of my favorite songs of all time since I first heard it as a teen in 1975. He was a genuinely good guy who really cared about his fans and toured almost to the end, loving his profession as he did. Plus, he was one of the few people who could sing and chew gum at the same time… RIP Steve and heartfelt sympathy to his family.
This was the first record i bought with my first pay from my first summer job. Did not know a thing about music, just picked this one on a store. This song became the best song i ever heard and look at the guy, he looks so cool, stil! Ever since then, I always pick the best choice first. Magic!
Brilliant writer , I remember him putting this out there , and how simple but genius ! Some of us do what he did and the rest of us gig the venues . Great song Steve !
RIP Steve Harley. One of my favorite songs from 1975. It’s hard to process that his generation of artists is slowly dying out. RIP Eric Carmen and RIP Karl Wallinger too.
Can't get away from the impression Harley deliberately donned the bowler hat to make him look like the Clockwork Orange dude. He said of the Wedding Present cover, his favorite, "those guys understood the venom in the song". Have to check them lyrics again ! Do the droogs chew gum in the Kubrick movie ?
Great Song. Will always be a great song! RIP. Steve Harley. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Gone to the great band, in the sky! 💯🏆
I agree, great song. England in the 1970's must have been pretty good to live in. I just found out he had polio as a child, so he did well.

Then don’t guess. If you are not 100% certain, do not comment. Do not guess and thereby show your ignorance.
Just like Michael INXS
One of the best songs of the 70's in my humble opinion.

Same age at the time in Reading ❤
This was the first record I ever bought, I was 14, it kicked of a lifelong obsession with vinyl. RIP Sir. Thank you 🙏🏼💜

What a great bass player George Ford was. Always looked like he was enjoying himself. Even played with The Shadows.
His brother was emile ford who with his band the checkmates got to number one in the uk with WHAT DO WANT TO MAKE THISE EYES AT ME FOR ,, r.i.p George and Steve .
Also did a long stint w/ Al Stewart concurrent w/ his Harley gig: Year of the Cat, Modern Times, Past Present & Future. Great bassist indeed!
Underrated folk, those guys handling the bottom of the register. Without Entwistle, there wouldn't have been a Who
Always loved this happy song, you followed in the footsteps of the creative, making the beauty of music for us all all to enjoy and share. RIP Steve
RIP great man. You've left your mark with this superb record.....miles ahead of it's time !

Classic song from the 70’s. Sounds even better on cd!!!
A memory of my childhood days in the UK from Rome Italy.

Steve Harley - he was cooler than a Siberian cucumber - not many could get away with chewing gum and singing but he had style !
Can't get away from the impression Harley deliberately donned the bowler hat to make him look like the Clockwork Orange dude. He said of the Wedding Present cover, his favorite, "those guys understood the venom in the song". Have to check them lyrics again !
