Gotta love when a good dog or dogs are doin their job and doin it really well! Such a thrill and makes the hunt that much more fun! Its also really cool seeing good dogs work and young dogs learning & doin what the older ones show em on the fly!
MAN! The memories! I was 11 or 12 and my brother in law had a bunch of beagles! I lived in the Sabine river bottom. Cotton tails always ran in a circle. Sometimes the swampers would just light out and being the youngest, i was tasked with chasing down the dogs! We'd save them up and make a huge pot of rabbit chili for our church! Soooo good! Almost 60 years ago!

We had some good rabbit dogs as I was growing up we had 21 beagles at one time lol but with rabbit hunting I loved how they would always make a circle after they would jump and come almost right back where they jumped initially
@ yea that’s what my mom said at the time lol we had two batches of puppies we usually had 8-10 only 3-4 of them were rabbit dogs the others were deer dogs and we had some black and tan deer dogs too that was a hundred years ago though we have just stalk hunting for almost thirty years now and haven’t had rabbit dogs for twenty years I definitely miss those days
It Looks Turner is off to a good start. If you cooked the rabbits in a gravy over a 30-45 minutes stirring occasionally. It will be a very tender and flavorful meal. You guys had a nice day weatherwise and a really good hunting experience. As always I enjoyed this video.
