For me I needed to add two socket risers, plus replace the original socket on the logicboard before it would work. Even then I had some system stability issues whenever the Ensoniq was accessed that was corrected with Core 6
@@christophelambert8478 I can tell you the two boards that didn't work were built in Jan 87. I see the one in your video was from Sep 87. I have one from Oct 87 that works fine with earlier Cores
By the way, it is a special one ! Because it is a French version ! Did some little upgrades inside to be able to use it close to daily.... I love this machine !

Yes, for some mother board (identified all details on Niek blog), you need to run minimum core 6.
