Keith Purvis was played for the next 5 seasons by the noted character actor Reg Evans.
Evans was killed in the tragic "Black Saturday Bushfires" in 2009 along with almost
200 other people. Over 3500 buildings were destroyed and untold numbers of
wildlife died.
