Commissioned by the middle schools of the Spring Independent School District in Houston, TX, the ever energetic "Ellipsis" features a balanced ensemble of keyboard and battery percussion. In fact, every player in the ensemble has the opportunity to play a battery instrument at some point.

Percussion 4 (4.3-oct Marimba, 2 Concert Toms (lower than Perc. 3)
Percussion 5 (Timpani, Wind Chimes)
Percussion 6 (Suspended Cymbal, Hi-Hat, Tam-Tam)
Percussion 7 (Snare Drum, Wind Chimes (shared with Perc. 5)
Percussion 8 (Bass Drum)
