That clever mat in the boot is NOT standard equipment, but an expensive optional extra. I bought an T5 Inscription AWD, so was expecting it to include all the bells and whistles.
Don get me wrong, I think that it’s a gorgeous little car, but having spent all that money, I feel entitled to have a little winge

Alistair_Senna_Wilson wasn’t because of Fifth Gear. Discovery Networks UK sacked him at the end of his contract in 2018. TIFF is currently on a YT channel called LoveCars as a tester.

Does the 40 stand for 40 foot turning circle? It has an oil tanker wide turning circle. Also re Jonny's comment on the rear seat posture..the rear back is almost vertical, not ideal for kids sleeping. Is there a usb in rear yet?
Such a good car. Love the style of fifth gear which presents the cars in fair and objective manner.
I love the way Johnny said door panels as different from door cards. It's always been door panels not cards...

The central consul ha a major issue being so low. In order not to break the horizontal dashboard when using CarPlay your navigation(Waze for me) displays too low and does not incorporate into the head on display(my Volvo have it). This is so bad I find it as a real safety concern because of the driver having to lower his eyes way down to see the map. One quick fix would be to place the navigation(CarPlay) on the top part of the media panel(not at the bottom) and allocate more space for it. Also as a second phase incorporate the navigation signs into the head on display. Where I live the built in Nav system is useless btw.

I’ve seen the ads for this but where I live they have the xc40 recharged that’s a plug in electric car
You can choose between manual/auto | petrol & diesel in several HP's, plugin-in hybrid and the latest addition is the fully electric recharge version.

I ordered a T4 R-Design with the orange carpets!! 😂😂😂 just the lead times are slow at the moment.
Ordered end of October, but the dealers are saying 20th January before I take delivery. 😥😥😥

@@q3b26 yeah it's crazy. I'm the same went for the pro version, but didn't bother with option that gave park in and park out. Wasn't impressed by that.

Apparently there is going to be an electric version of this. Specs are good. Coming in 2021 though.

They're not, I used to have one and it was incredibly comfortable in the back. The boot space however was appalling 😂
Tiff ( there's loads of under steer with this car , or any car I drive ) Needell. No tiff just go slower around bends.

Didn't Volvo announce a year ago that all of their new cars would be limited to 180km/h (120mi/h) for safety reasons?
Im pretty sure it is an option if you have someone in your family thats under 24 years old. It was just a PR trick to get some attention...

White wheels are so early 90s... tacky. Maybe they’re coming back because they’re “retro”, but they’re terrible to keep clean. Other than that, this Volvo looks pretty good!
The XC40 has gone mad with colour combo choices that are not available for XC60 and XC90. It is very clearly aiming at the younger drivers. I still think that that is a good thing and needed to shift the long lingering “my dad’s car” image which just isn’t who buys these cars anymore.

He's the piss poor replacement for Tiff. Thought I must say Tiff really got on my nerves for being a snob about anything that wasn't a supercar. He gave by far the worst scores and he affected the whole team that way.. I can see why UK sacked him off.. He's a tough nut to be around.

You can only get T5 with electric on this model. T6 and T8 is not available on this chassis

I desided between honda CRV 1.5 T 4x4 executive and volvo XC40 inscription 2.0 4x4. Volvo is luxus! safety! and we ordered volvo XC40. Honda cost 38000 eur and volvo 47000 eur. Luxus something cost.

It’s owned by a chinese company. It was founded in sweden, designed in sweden, the headquarters are in sweden, one of the two factories in europe are in sweden. You can’t tell me this car has nothing to do with sweden.

There are 6 Communist state-owned companies : BAIC - SAIC - GAIC - Changan - FAW and Dongfeng.
But there are also 3 Privatized car companies that were founded in the last 30 decades : Great Wall - BYD - and Geely. The 3 that are free from the state ownership are the 3 that have developed the most.

Volvo has never been in greater shape than before. They sold well, they can finally go all out on their cars like they did when Volvo was owned mostly by Volvo AB. The design, the engines, the quality, the engineering, has never been better.

Pretty rubbish post. While Geely is the majority stake owner in Volvo cars, the design and operations for Volvo are still done in Sweden.

Pls be careful, XC40 are made in China from 2019. I wouldn’t buy any cars made in China but it’s your choice.
Except the majority of XC40 are still made in Belgium for the EU market, which is pretty far away from China I reckon. Also quite nationalistic undertones with this comment, it's like being teleported to the 90s or 80s.
