As a kid, I used to ask my Sunday School teachers how there were three full days and nights between Good Friday and Easter morning. There was a lot of fancy word play but none ever could give an answer that satisfied my curiosity. I'm so glad I kept digging around in the Bible for real answers.
Yeah, I only in the last couple years finally understood that he "rose on the third day". Not "rose after 3 days had passed". Also learned that Jewish day measurement was not the same as ours, so because of that (if I'm not mistaken) it ends up being something more close to what we would consider a day and a half to two days I believe. They measured days from sun up to sun down I think, and we would count by hours (full day being 24 hours later).
@@Apoch86 My understanding is that there is a Sabbath (day of no work) that falls before Passover that would explain why things happened when they did and it fits perfectly with what would have been happening in the temple. Someone more knowledgeable than me could give the timeline but Good Friday seems to be a myth.
Jesus was crucified on Friday - the first day. Then the sabbath day followed - the second day. The following day was Sunday when Jesus rose from the dead - the third day. I tell you what really really really makes me angry, is people who do not know basic math. You know how the century that started with 19 - as in 1989 - was called the 20th century. Jesus is crucified on a Friday, which is the first day right. Sabbath being the second day and Sunday being the 3rd day.

Mat 12:40 For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Mat 12:41 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. (ESV) Per Jesus own words: 3 days and 3 nights. If you paid for a hotel room for 3 days and 3 nights but were only permitted to stay Friday evening to Sunday at dawn, would you have received your what you paid for?
...I had the same problem. Still have yet to see an image or painting of Adam & Eve without a bellybutton. As the "first" male/female, there wouldn't BE a bellybutton. It's ALL a product of the human mind. All religions, gods, angels and demons...all of it. It's been our way of coping with the question of "what happens AFTER I die?" since we could conceptualize the thought.
It's interesting - Our family of 5 children and 2 parents grew up literally in the forest of Central Pennsylvania (25 acres of beautiful mountain ground with thousands of young and old evergreen trees and all other types) and we never had a "Christmas Tree" - though we begged and pleaded with our dad every year. He quoted Jeremiah chapter 10. Ten years ago before he succumbed to a fast moving, deadly bone cancer, I was able to share with him for several months before his death the 7 Feasts of our Creator YHWH; the 2730 years of Ephraim's captivity since 721 B.C. until 2009 A.D., and the Shabbat which he had not understood and also the Names of Father YHWH and Son Yahshua and was able to truly express gratitude for his resolute refusal to allow even a tiny young evergreen to be dragged into the house yearly. RESTORATION of all things, and then Messiah will arrive: Acts 3:19,20,21
Is it possible for you to expound on "restoration of all things", before Christ returns? That seems to contradict the flood of scriptures coming to my mind😮
The passage in Jeremiah is referring to the making of an idol, not the decorating of a Christmas tree. The idea of the Christmas tree is actually introduced by Martin Luther, who saw the shape of the evergreen and found an arrow pointing skyward to God with branches that were not barren during the winter, symbolizing eternal life for the righteous. As was his custom, Luther saw the symbolism that pointed to God in the natural world and utilized it in advancing the Gospel.
@@jimhughes1070 What that means in its biblical context is that, when Jesus came the first time, he inaugurated His Kingdom, however, it was not completed. We live in the curious time of now, but not yet where we have glimpses of His Kingdom. After Jesus returns at the Day of the Lord (known alternatively as Armageddon), he will establish His righteous rule and His Kingdom in its completeness. He will consummate His Kingdom and at that time He will restore all things, completely reversing the curse of Genesis 3 and returning mankind to his proper state before the fall. At that time, we will again live in Eden where there is peace and the lion will lie down by the lamb.
@@jimhughes1070 Yes. To restore something means that that thing has been tarnished, marred, obscured, destroyed, distorted, decimated, ruined, obliterated, ravaged, diseased, deadened, abused, eviscerated. Yahshua stated that He came to destroy the works of hasatan, who has done this abject devastation to the Word of YHWH for 4000 years prior to His, Yahshua's, arrival on earth as the suffering servant, the Son of man and the Son of YHWH. As the Two Sticks, the Two Houses, the Two Witnesses of Judah and Joseph (Ephraim) come together in the Mighty Hand of YHWH as Ezekiel 37:16 prophesied, Restoration of all things is taking place: Judah sees that Messiah has come in the flesh and dwelt among us during Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot (as the 7 Festivals of YHWH are honored and observed) and that Messiah as the Passover Lamb has shed His Blood for Salvation - animals and bulls are no longer needed for redemption; Joseph sees that YHWH means just what He states in terms of Covenant and that Yahshua has died so that the divorced spouse Ephraim can remarry Him: - see the book of Hosea which explains this stunning Restoration of silly dove Ephraim to His rightful spouse, Yahshua, for YHWH Is Salvation! Shabbat being the sign of the Eternal Covenant is the big hurdle for Ephraim today in this Restoration of all things, as he is commanded by YHWH to "come out of her My people, that you not receive of her (Babylon's) plagues," for death ensues when we do not honor YHWH's Shabbat and His 7 Festivals, His 7 Eyes of Fire, of Jealousy, which His Son full-filled and continues to do so. We just didn't know ... and after 2730 years of captivity, we began in 2009 A.D. to fully realize. Malachi 2:14 speaks of Covenant and the wife of one's youth. Malachi 3L6 speaks, warns of the fathers' necessity of their hearts being restored to the children and the hearts of the children being restored to the fathers lest He come and strike the earth with a curse. Yahshua arrived then in 4 B.C. to reverse the curse (Ararat: the curse reversed) for we had turned our heart from the heart of the Father! HalleluYAH and AMEN

This is only the 3 video I've watched. Very interesting. I was raised Southern Baptist in America. I believe I'm going to heaven by the blood of Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. I'm 51 years old. Never have I heard things really explained like this. I've been researching outside of what is taught in my church. My heart hurts right now. My whole life I have celebrated EVERY ONE of those holidays. Everyone I know celebrates them. My children. My grandchildren. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world. 🙏❤️
I'm in the same window you're in, I'm questioning all kinds of stuff and nobody likes me doing that, well some don't, I'm in the south too, NC. My mom always told me In the last days there shall come false witnesses, and hold strong what we know, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of sound mind, peace and Love. The father of lies walks the earth openly today, there's no reason for him to hide. I believe Jesus Christ died for mine and your sins, and if you were the only person on earth he would have still taken that what he did, just for you! Amen! That got me fired up!😊
Unfortunately, anti Semitism is alive and well in most churches and denominations, even though we won't/don't admit it, or we can't see it, and therefore, we allow ourselves to use "Greek wisdom", rather than "Jewish truth" to interpret the Scriptures, and further, we allow the world and the culture to influence our thoughts and congregation, so that we can have "big numbers" in attendance. In the Old, the New is contained. In the New, the Old is explained. Michael Rood is a voice crying in the wilderness. We need more to hear him.
Don't listen to this man, he is wrong and is attempting to mislead you. Take for example the first example he gives, he is correct that you won't find 3 wise men in the Bible as it only mentions Magi (wise) and the 3 gifts . Jesus death is a set date in time as it occurred on a particular day of Passover. Now some modern day traditional holidays may have elements of something else, id lt does not discount the Bible in anyways as these days of worship are not described in the Bible. It's not like Jesus ond da and sat down and said during Passover on the day I come back from the dead color some eggs and have children search for them. Lol😂
@@ManKzin Find me the documented evidence that Jesus was born on December 25? What Santa has to do with his birth ? Christmas tree? Saturnalia? Easter actually began as a pagan festival celebrating spring in the Northern Hemisphere, long before the advent of Christianity.
I wish everyone would see this. I use to celebrate these holidays. Never wondered why as it was done since I was born. Seemed normal. But when I gave my life to God, I started seeing thi gs different, and all kinds of knowledge was coming my way. I watched a video on what you had just said a ways back and when I learned the truth I stopped celebrating all of these "traditional" holidays that we celebrate in America. After becoming a born-again Christian, the Holy Spirit put in my heart to stop all holiday practices. Later, I became aware of these pagan beliefs. I haven't practiced Christmas or any other holiday on the calendar, and don't miss them. The Bible does not speak of these pagan beliefs, and I thank God now for showing me these things. I believe God protects His own children and prepares us for the kingdom as chosen people. 🕊
I can't believe you don't know why. It's simple how would Germanic and other nations accept Christianity if portions of their beliefs wasn't adopted. There would be no world Christianity
I don't think it's a bad translation. It was the peagan "holiday " celebrated by the romans, which roughly correlated to the passover Edit: I agree that technically, it is a bad translation. But I also think that the translators purposely used Easter to underscore the peagan holiday in this case. Am I wrong? Probably. I'll just sit back and wait for more people to tell me how wrong I am. You wouldn’t have the Bible without the orthodox catholic bishops preserving and preaching the scriptures to start with. It took several hundred years to create a definitive Bible. And that was done by the holy Catholic Church. They were also preserving other traditions beside holy scripture. Traditions that Paul refers to but does not state. So everything does not have to be in the Bible. Setting aside Christmas trees, which I see zero real harm with, the traditions of the church and following her bishops was preached by every apostle and all the church patriarchs, including Polycarp, the disciple of John. The fact that Protestants do not follow the Eastern Orthodox practices is evidence that they are in heresy. While they love the lord (I used to be Methodist, evangelical non denom), they don’t know that the apostolic church was centered around the consecration of the Eucharist and it’s consumption. This was noted by Justin Martyr in his writing to the emperor in 150ad. Protestants imagine that somehow the church just fell into error after the apostles. They are wrong. The Roman Catholic Church actually did. And that is why there is a schism between the bishop of Rome and the rest of the real church. There’s a book called “Becoming Orthodox” by Peter Giquist, a 60’s evangelist for campus crusade for Christ (about as conservative Protestant as you get). He and his compatriots set out to find out what happened to the original church. They discovered the eastern bishops had been preserving her traditions and the holy Divine Liturgy the whole time and two thousand became orthodox in 1987.

I agree with most of what you said except about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. It clearly states he was to rise on the third day, not be in the grave for three full days (72 hours) and rise on the fourth. The gospel teaches He was crucified on Friday, was taken down from the cross, and buried before sunset (as this marks the start of the sabbath). Then it is written in Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week (sunday), very early in the morning. Luke 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the THIRD DAY rise again.
Holy week occurs in parallel with the passover and also a break in the habit and Catholic answers have answered these objections. Also nothing wrong with using symbols familiar with a culture that is formerly to communicate the truth of the gospel and of God speaking from experience Christ often uses symbols familiar with a persons culture to communicate divine truths.
Funny enough, the Bible isn't mentioned in the Bible. In fact, the Bible wasn't compiled until hundreds of years after the crucifixion. Almost like Christ established the Church before He was assumed into Heaven, not a book.
I have told people its no sin to celebrate Christ's Birth. Niw the origins of Christmas is a Pagan festival people lost their mind. I have also added that the easter holiday has pagan roots once again people lost their heads

You are partly true. Yes, in 321 Constantine made Sunday a special day for the church. Not because of faith in Christ. It was the day of sun worship so Constantine figured it would ease tensions between Christians and pagans. However, you are in error about when the Catholic Church decree Sunday worship. That didn't occur until 364 AD at the Council of Laodicea.
@@CenterPorchNP Did I talk about the Catholic Church? I said "they gathered" referring to the Church; the body of Christ. They used to gather on Sundays as well based on Scriptures. Wether Catholics decreed or not is irrelevant to what happened to the early church. First, Christians can worship Everyday: Acts 2:46-47 "Every day they continued to meet together... praising God...". So they did on Sundays as well: 1 Corinthians 16:2 "On the first day of every week...", Acts 20:7 "On the first day of the week we came together to break bread...". This was to commemorate the day of the resurrection because the entire Christianity relies on the resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:29-32) Christians all hope for eternal life (resurrection). If Jesus did not resurrect, then Christianity is all in vain. Now, based on our working days, if we have decided to worship on Sunday rather Saturday (we can worship any day) what does that have to do with anything? Romans 14:5 "One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind". Colossians 2:14-15: "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.". Worshipping on a specific day and in a specific place is exactly what Jesus was telling the samaritan woman that it is about to stop: John 4:21-24 "“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem... Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks...” If I can wholeheartedly worship on Sunday in the Spirit and in Truth, fine. If you can do so on Saturday, fine. Catholics and many other congregations have services every day including Saturday and Sunday. My fellow Christians are always looking for mistakes in one another as if any man made work could ever be perfect. All congregations and denominations are man made, so they ALL have flaws. Find any denomination you want, google them and you will find some flaws/controversies. The evil one wants to keep up busy fighting one another instead of worshiping EVERYDAY in the Spirit and in Truth and making disciples of all nations. Sorry for the VERY long text, issues like these really bug me because they distract us from our objectives: making disciples of ALL nations. These are issues for other non spiritual religions who don't have the Holy Spirit. They worship on a specific day, some have a specific place or direction to worship, some must worship in a specific language else their god won't listen, they must perform rituals all the time, etc. We Christians, we are spiritual beings. We connect to YHWH spiritually through the Holy Spirit in us (Romans 8:27) and Jesus Christ (1 John 2:1). Once you understand that, you know there are no specific days, place, language or position to talk to your Father; like your earthly father to whom you can talk any day, any time. One last passage Galatians 4:10-11 "You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you". Shalom
Very true and accurate info. GOD BLESS YOU for the light to the believers. So sad we lived most of our lives as if still in the dark ages. My people perished due to the lack of knowledge; search the books = stick to the WORD = JESUS words the incernated word of GOD.
I have openly told people this at church and they had no interest in walking closer to His commands. I will never understand why people need these things more than our Savior. May He have mercy on us all.
Mathew chapter 2 tells of wise men following a star ,finding Mary and the child Jesus, no mention of where or when specifically. They acknowledge him and present him with gold, frankencense, and myrr . These gifts suggest but do not confirm three wise men ,not kings as is told.
True that. However, these magi (astrologers; star seekers), did not visit Jesus right after he was born. These men visited Jesus in a house with his mother no more than 2 years after his birth.
Any church that clings to the traditions of man over the word of YAHAVAH, is no church. Correct them, and if they don't receive correction, rebuke them and walk away from them.
Gospel - Paul preached “Jesus Christ crucified” Wise men - Three gifts assumes three wise men (big deal) Halloween - dress up and candy for kids. not religious. (encourage healthy fun) Christmas - The churches would read through the Bible in a year and December is when they got to the Advent. Easter - Nobody cares about boring old gods. Christ supplanted them. There are tons of eggs after fasting. Games for kids are OK. Get over it. Romans 14:5 “One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.”
Ben Hur?! So THAT'S where it came from! I gave up the pagan holidays when I found out they were pagan. Such deception in our traditions!! Thanks for the video!
Phenomenal work from Hislop. Pagan Rome couldn't kill all the Christians so they legalized Christianity but changed all the pagan holidays and put Christian names on them. Roman Catholicism is not Christianity
Many church going people can name every "holiday", when it occurs and particulars about it, yet when asked, very few..... very, VERY few.. can name more than 1 or 2 of the Jewish festivals that God commanded to be observed. How sad, that we so quickly run to the moth destroying flame of pagan driven rituals, and yet have no clue about the plan of deliverance and salvation that God has instituted in His feast days.
Why do Jews eat eggs on Pesach? Orthodox Christians call this holiday Pascha, and Catholics call it Paques. Not everybody speaks English, like American rabbis who call it Easter. Jesus was born on the first day of Hannukkah, the 25th of Kislev. So we celebrate his birth on the 25th of December. The psalmist David prophesied about Christmas trees saying, that when the Messiah came, even the trees of the forest would rejoice. The Book of Genesis gives the definition of a day: Evening and morning, one day. On Good Friday, the sun went down at noon, (Chinese astronomers recorded the sun going down 3 hours early). As Christ hung on the cross, the Earth wobbled. It was an extinction level event but he cried out "Father forgive them. They know not what they do." After Christ died, the sun rose again. There was evening and morning - one day. Jesus was put in the tomb before the sun went down again and rose on Sabbath morning. The second day. The sun went down on Motzei Shabbot, AD 33 and rose again on Sunday - Yom Rishon, which was the 3rd day.
So what about the wise men who came to Herod looking for the New King? This set about the Slaughter of the Innocents and had Mary and Joseph fleeing to Egypt.
They arrived 2 years after the birth of Jesus, according to scripture, not at the manger as a new born. This is what he is talking about, that the traditions have it wrong.

This is why I renounced Catholicism at 17. It's paganism mixed with Christianity and highly ritualistic. I'm happily nondenominational and prefer practicing my faith at home. Many churches are full of tares too. Be vigilant.
No it isn’t pagan mixed with Christianity. You didn’t know your faith nor the early Christian history. There have been outright lies regarding so called pagan gods and pagan practices being introduced into Christianity by the Catholic Church. This guy is rehashing lies that have been proved false decades ago.
ABSOLUTELY FALSE. An ancient document explains what the early Church did. Because many gentile Christians celebrated Saturnalia, the early Church took council with God and created a new holiday celebrating Jesus' birth (not his birthday). The new holiday was wildly successful and paganism was ended.
I am having a problem with another introduction by the Roman Catholic Church that was "set in stone" so to say, at the First Council of Nicea which was called by Constatine, a well documented Pagan "convert". The trinity doctrine, which just happens to match all the other pagan religions of the time in having 3 gods to worship. I no longer believe he converted, I now believe he converted the church. From the research I have done, the church never made it past the 4th century before it was corrupted and changed over to the church of satan. I first started realizing this over 20 years ago, and it caused me to have doubts about Christianity and to ultimately leave the church and become agnostic. For the last month or so I have been diving deep back into that research, hoping to see the scriptures with "fresh eyes" and come to a different realization, but alas that did not happen. It has only strengthened my realization that the "church" no longer exists and are teaching the exact opposite of what the scriptures, and Yeshua himself taught (and no I will no longer use the unscriptural name Jesus). I will no longer have anything to do with their corrupted teachings.
The Scripture, especially Daniel and Revelation explicitly tell us what was going to happen, and it did. Yahweh's remenent Church is alive and well. He will call them to service very soon.
Constantine needed a document to give to his Senate in the process of legalizing Christianity. Recall that our Senate is patterned after the Roman Senate........laws had to be written and voted on. Trinity was demonstrated in creation in Gen. 1: 2-3 & 26, and again in re-creation in Luke 1: 26-38 ( Father/Spirit/Word .
They can't count to 4 either, palm Sunday or Nissan 10 to Nissan 14 the days of Passover puts you at wed evening for the passover lamb to be sacrificed.
But over and above all of that, there is the perennial 'holy day' of Sunday, when God has directly told us that the Sabbath is the seventh day. That that would be the sign of those who He sancitifies. (see Ex 31:13.) Jesus, as Creator, created the Sabbath, He specifically mentions it in both versions of the Ten Commandments (see Ex 20, Deu 5), He kept the Sabbath while on Earth (see Mark 6:2, Luke 4:16), and will keep it through eternity (see Isa 66:23). It's a great blessing to keep the Sabbath (Isa 58: 13, 14).
Thank you for the video. Hopefully it should open people's eyes and make them turn to the Bible instead of pagan traditions. We are into end times and we can see that satan is let loose. If we are not strongly rooted in God's word he will convince us of everything unbiblical and make us accept it without even a shadow of guilt😔
All Saints, a feast of the highest rank, celebrated on the first of November, having a vigil and an octave, and giving place to no other feast. It is instituted to honor all the saints, known and unknown, and, according to Urban IV, to supply any deficiencies in the faithful’s celebration of saints’ feasts during the year. In the early days the Christians were accustomed to solemnize the anniversary of a martyr’s death for Christ at the place of martyrdom. In the fourth century, neighboring dioceses began to interchange feasts, to transfer relics, to divide them, and to join in a common feast; as is shown by the invitation of St. Basil of Caesarea (397) to the bishops of the province of Pontus. Frequently groups of martyrs suffered on the same day, which naturally led to a joint commemoration. In the persecution of Diocletian the number of martyrs became so great that a separate day could not be assigned to each. But the Church, feeling that every martyr should be venerated, appointed a common day for all. The first trace of this we find in Antioch on the Sunday after Pentecost. We also find mention of a common day in a sermon of St. Ephrem the Syrian (373), and in the 74th homily of St. John Chrysostom (407). At first only martyrs and St. John the Baptist were honored by a special day. Other saints were added gradually, and increased in number when a regular process of canonization was established; still, as early as 411 there is in the Chaldean Calendar a “Cornmemoratio Confessorum” for the Friday after Easter. In the West, Boniface IV, May 13, 609, or 610, consecrated the Pantheon in Rome to the Blessed Virgin and all the martyrs, ordering an anniversary. Gregory III (731-741) consecrated a chapel in the basilica of St. Peter to all the saints and fixed the anniversary for November 1. A basilica of the Apostles already existed in Rome, and its dedication was annually remembered on May 1. Gregory IV (827-844) extended the celebration on November 1 to the entire Church. The vigil seems to have been held as early as the feast itself. The octave was added by Sixtus IV (1471-84).
1. The images we make of things often show, symbolically, things not as they may have been in a photograph but in the context of a story. For example, you use a chroma key screen behind you to picture yourself standing at an archaeological site instead of where you actually are. Nativity displays that include the three wise men and the star above (which weren't three, and not at the birth of Christ) are like this. The magi of the east are an important part of the Infancy of Jesus, and so are included in the image we have of the event even if we can open any bible and see that they arrived quite a bit later. 2. All Hallow's Eve is the night before All Saints' Day. It is not and has never been a separate church Feast day. The pre-Christian European Pagans had been freed from enslavement to the demons they worshipped! They were not forced to become Christian or induced by telling them they could keep their existing rituals. Rather, the introduction of Christianity mostly erased these existing rituals. Hallowe'en as a celebration is the result: instead of demons and pagan gods that demand blood sacrifice, the little children dress up sometimes as these false gods and demand candy. It reminds us of the "powerless boldness of demons" - that powerless boldness that was crushed down by the Saints who we should celebrate the very next day!
Christians have used an egg as a symbol for the Resurrection since the 1st century - originally a Phoenix egg, but chickens are much easier to find. They would carve the symbol of an egg onto grave markers to show their hope in the Resurrection. And you know we celebrate Easter because that's when Jesus was resurrected, right? It's been based on a calculated date since the first ecumenical council.
What's more, the pagan goddess named Ostara? We know absolutely nothing about that one. The single reference we can find in any ancient writing comes from a Christian, the Venerable Bede, who said in the 8th century something like "We think they must have had a goddess by this name Oester, because the Paschal Month is often called Oester-Month." We call Easter by this name in English because the false goddess was so forgotten that people assumed that Oester-Month was named for the most important Feast day of the year in it, and began calling Pascha "Easter" in English to follow "Easter-Month"
Tamuz? Dagon? How would early Christians (who celebrated Christmas on December 25th) have known about pagan gods from almost a thousand years before? Besides, December 25th isn't the solstice. December 21st is the solstice. And what about Hanukkah? That usually overlaps with the darkest night of the year, doesn't it? The Nativity has nothing to do with the darkness of the solstice and is rather calculated because the people of the Mediterranean (including Christians, Jews and Greeks) considered that a perfect man would die on the same day as his Conception and therefore Dec 25th is nine months after Annunciation, which always falls on March 25th. "So why isn't Easter that day too?" Because Easter moves each year to follow Passover. It is in the case of Jesus' Conception that this date was March 25th. You will notice this date sometimes overlaps with Great and Holy Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. This is the case in 33 AD too, of course.
I STUDIED THOSE VERY PAGAN HOLIDAYS RIGHT AFTER THEE LORD CALLED ME UNTO HIMSELF. I WAS RAISED AS A CATHOLIC AND AFTER MY CALLING IN 1979 I USED THE HOLY SCRIPTURES TO COMB OUT ALL THE LIES I WAS TAUGHT.

Hi I've read your comment and if you are serious, the only way to obtain salvation is thru YHVH almighty God's son YAHUSHUA HA MASHIYAH. YHVH (God) loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son YAHUSHUA HA MASHIYAH that whomever believes in him will have everlasting life..John 3:16..if you believe this and pray to YHVH and confess refrain, repent of your sins and accept YAHUSHUA HA MASHIYAH as lord &savior and be baptized you'll be born again literally become a child of YHVH . John 3:3,7..John 1:14. YAHUSHUA HA MASHIYAH died for you and loves you and will save you and favor you. If you Seek YHVH with all your heart you'll find him..Jeremiah 29:13..peace to you and yours.
Hmmmm. Making a lot of assumptions here. Dec 25th. was adopted by mankind universally to celebrate the birth of Christ, as before then his birth was being celebrated by people Worldwide at different times. Irrespective of others' times or traditions, it's good to celebrate Jesus. We do not know exactly when he was born (and don't need to), the fact that He came to Earth for us and lives today is something we should celebrate. Forget anything about Paganism and other dead religions, Christ came here to us, lets acknowledge Him as often as we can !
No doubt people will agree that Jesus birth is the most important birthdate in all of history. Why then did God deliberately omit the date out of His Word the Bible?
@@nurse580 Because it's not the date that matters. Of Christmas, Easter or any other. It's the fact that matters. All God wants us to do is acknowledge Him. Most of the 'elements' of Christmas etc., are man made anyway. Santa came from a Cola advert, trees in the house are a nice decoration, but not Biblical. Easter is not about chocolate and chicks. It's all about faith. Putting our trust in Him.
Rome paganised Christianity. The name Jesus Christ was invented in Rome in 1634AD and was not inspired. Serapis christus was changed to depict the Jesus Christ. That picture they projected as of Jesus Christ was that of Cesare Borgia son of Pope Alexander IV. Christmas, Easter (Ishtar) and New year are all pagan.Just research their origins.
Hi there Rood Dood. So I've heard all this before, as a young believer, and still hear it today, from guys like yourself who are more interested in being right, than righteous. Christmas in my house has never lead anyone astray, it's always been a warm and loving time for me and my grandchildren to experience feasting, gift giving and get-togethers, and what ever great reason to do so than in memory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Even tho Satan may have intended it for evil, the Lord always manages to use it for his Glory, to imply otherwise would be to ascribe more power to Satan than I think he actually has. Besides, if this meat is offensive to you, I will try not to celebrate Christmas while at your house.
My understanding is that the ancient jews considered any part of a day to be the entire day. This must be how we come up with 3 days. I've always wondered about this!

Don't listen to this man. He is misleading you, true the Bible does not state 3 wise man it only refers to Magi (wise) and not the number, only that the 3 gifts were giving. The fact that tradition says 3 wise men (when no number is given) does not take away from the overall story of Jesus Birth. I actually stopped listening and confirmed what I already knew. As to holidays such as Easter, which is a set date in time it any another Christian holiday, regardless of similarities with other religions is half hearted at best. To add some of these other religions were modify to include part of the new testament after those text were written. I am prodestant but i mean idiocy is idiocy he's just getting on camera and saying whatever......Reference PROTEVANGELION Chapter XV & Chapter XVI, and i haven't bothered to checked the infancy gospels.
The Gospel of Matthew (2:1-12) speaks of Magi, or wise men, who followed a star from the East to Bethlehem in search of a newborn king. There they found Mary and the baby Jesus and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
@@jimmynolet3752 As a Catholic, it is important to remember that the Protevangelion and infancy gospels are not considered part of the official canon of the Bible. This means that they are not considered to have the same level of authority as the books included in the Bible by the early Church fathers. It is crucial to approach these texts with caution and a critical mindset, keeping in mind that they may contain elements that are not consistent with official Catholic teachings. While they may offer insights into early Christian beliefs and traditions, it is important to evaluate their contents in light of official Catholic teachings and logical reasoning. By maintaining a balance between curiosity and discernment, one can explore these non-canonical texts while also upholding the core beliefs of the Catholic Church. Engaging with these texts can provide a deeper understanding of early Christian thought, but it is essential to do so with an open mind guided by Catholic teachings.
Jehovahs witnesses have been avoiding these holidays for decades now. This is not new information, and is actually plainly known by many that these holidays have pagan roots. It all comes down to humility, honesty and the desire to surge God in the way HE requires, not the way that is “comfortable” to us
Mr Rood. I believe you to be a FALSE TEACHER!!! For it IS in the BIBLE... Wise men(Magi) did indeed visit Jesus after his birth in Bethlehem: ---- Matthew 2: "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: 6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’[b]” 7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.” 9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route." ---- The Bible also DOES teach that Jesus must have been crucified on a FRIDAY and rose on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK (commonly known to us as Sunday - that is why we go to church on Sunday, for it is not the Sabbath day, but the day of His resurrection, the first day of the week, in remembrance of his resurrection): - God's time is NOT our time - ---- Mark 15: 37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. 38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[c] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” 40 Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph,[d] and Salome. 41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there. 42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. ---- So Jesus DID die the day before the Sabbath - I would argue that this is what we know as, a "Friday", is it not??? ---- Matthew 28: After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. ---- So Jesus DID rise on the first day of the week... Did he not? NOW!!! I have stated my answers, using Biblical, Gospel Truth directly from the NEW Testament! You CANNOT have BOTH the NEW and the OLD Testament as valid contracts!!! you HAVE to accept either the ONE or the OTHER as the measurement that you want to live by... For by the measure you measure, you will be measured!!! Christ has come to fulfill the old Testament!!! Therefore we DON't HAVE to live by it any more, for we cannot!!! The Old testament actually SHOWS us how condemned we are in our inability to appease GOD. Therefore Christ had to come to appease God on our behalf and offers us everlasting live through his NEW Covenant (his spilled blood), which fulfills and thus effectively REPLACES the old covenant, for all who believe in Jesus Christ! I challenge you to disprove me, using the NEW TESTAMENT!!! Using the old Testament you can easily contradict the New Testament... That's the whole POINT!!! The new testament offers an ALTERNATIVE to the old Testament. Paul has made this abundantly clear in many of his letters... He makes it crystal-clear that we CANNOT follow the old law AND have Grace!!! you either have the law 100% OR grace 100%! NOT BOTH!!! You CANNOT follow the law 100% AND have Grace 100% - The two are NOT compatible! Try following 100% of the old Law 100% of the time and you will soon see that you cannot! The LAW condemns... That is what any LAW does! The Grace of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Yeshua Hamashiach), the true son of almighty creator God, is the only salvation anyone has!
I do not think that Rome introduced any of those things into Christianity. For one Christmas trees are not a part of Christmas celebrations in southern Europe nor in any other Christian Nations of the Globe except in the Anglo Saxon world. The festival of Annunciation was celebrated around March 21 in the early church and so Christmas naturally was fixed 9 months later around the winter equinox to match.
My brother look at the beauty in the picture who do people worship on Sunday (Christ), who does people celebrate on the 25 of December?( Christ) who do people meditate on doing Easter (Christ) so Christ win no matter the days of the celebration Christ is remember.
As our Lord and Savior King Jesus said "and the truth shall set you free". Free from falsehoods and lying traditions of men. Praise Jah.

Absolutely correct. Well said.
Sunday worship was also instituted by Papal Rome in 321AD by Emperor Constantine.
So when they gathered on the "first day of the week" in the book of Acts, it was because of Constantine?
@@eddyella6554 Gregorian calender came later with a different order.
Worshipping on a specific day and in a specific place is exactly what Jesus was telling the samaritan woman that it is about to stop:
John 4:21-24 "“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem... Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks...”
If I can wholeheartedly worship on Sunday in the Spirit and in Truth, fine.
Shalom

Mathew chapter 2 tells of wise men following a star ,finding Mary and the child Jesus, no mention of where or when specifically. They acknowledge him and present him with gold, frankencense, and myrr . These gifts suggest but do not confirm three wise men ,not kings as is told.
In Spain and Latin America the day of the magi is 6th of January, they don't believe that the wise men arrived the night Jesus was born.
True that. However, these magi (astrologers; star seekers), did not visit Jesus right after he was born. These men visited Jesus in a house with his mother no more than 2 years after his birth.
I agree with you. I stopped worshiping Santa Claus after I was born again, and when my views were known in the church, I was persecuted in the church.
No church worships Santa Claus …
Any church that clings to the traditions of man over the word of YAHAVAH, is no church. Correct them, and if they don't receive correction, rebuke them and walk away from them.
Gospel - Paul preached “Jesus Christ crucified”
Wise men - Three gifts assumes three wise men (big deal)
Halloween - dress up and candy for kids. not religious. (encourage healthy fun)
Christmas - The churches would read through the Bible in a year and December is when they got to the Advent.
Easter - Nobody cares about boring old gods. Christ supplanted them. There are tons of eggs after fasting. Games for kids are OK. Get over it.
Romans 14:5
“One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.”

The wise men (magi) appear in the book of Matthew, chapter 2. Though it does not specify the number. And they did follow a star (verses 2 & 9).
Do not be deceived by this man stay in the word and ask God for understanding
It is true that Matthew 2 speaks about the wise men. But they did not appear before Jesus on His birthright. It was later.
Please explain your claim that the story of the wise men is not in The Bible. I see it here in Matthew chapter 2.
Thank you!
Neither is the internet, video cameras or microphones: aren't you being hypocritical? Of course you are.
The New Easter Egg coming next is the Alien Mothership!

The single reference we can find in any ancient writing comes from a Christian, the Venerable Bede, who said in the 8th century something like "We think they must have had a goddess by this name Oester, because the Paschal Month is often called Oester-Month."
We call Easter by this name in English because the false goddess was so forgotten that people assumed that Oester-Month was named for the most important Feast day of the year in it, and began calling Pascha "Easter" in English to follow "Easter-Month"
You are so confident in this wrong understanding!
Tamuz?
"So why isn't Easter that day too?"
Because Easter moves each year to follow Passover.

Besides, if this meat is offensive to you, I will try not to celebrate Christmas while at your house.

Mr Rood. I believe you to be a FALSE TEACHER!!!
For it IS in the BIBLE... Wise men(Magi) did indeed visit Jesus after his birth in Bethlehem:
----
Matthew 2:
"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler
who will shepherd my people Israel.’[b]”
7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route."

The Bible also DOES teach that Jesus must have been crucified on a FRIDAY and rose on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK (commonly known to us as Sunday - that is why we go to church on Sunday, for it is not the Sabbath day, but the day of His resurrection, the first day of the week, in remembrance of his resurrection):

38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[c] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”
40 Some women were watching from a distance.
----
So Jesus DID die the day before the Sabbath - I would argue that this is what we know as, a "Friday", is it not???
----
Matthew 28:
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
----
So Jesus DID rise on the first day of the week... Did he not?
Right on.
Well too bad. Anyone who doesn't like it is free to leave the Catholic Church, and good riddance!
When is the festival of lights ?
How did a tree for christmas come about ?
