Christine Nyambura Muturi, wife of Kenyan MP Jack Wamboka, is embroiled in a fraud case after being accused of swindling over Sh1.9 million from individuals seeking nursing careers abroad. Prosecutors allege Muturi, along with unidentified accomplices, lured victims through social media promises of lucrative nursing jobs in Europe upon completion of a certified nursing assistant course at Westwick Institute Limited. However, Westwick lacked accreditation from the Kenyan Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, rendering the certificates allegedly issued useless. The charges detail eight counts of fraudulently obtaining money and offering unlicensed training between January 2023 and February 2024. Muturi initially denied the charges and spent a night in custody before securing release on Sh300,000 bail. The case is ongoing, with the next hearing scheduled for July 2nd, 2024. She joins us in the new episode of Obinna show live to talk of how she is innocent of all the charges placed on her.
