This is actually Part 3 in a trilogy of videos that shows the para-social relationships between fans and idols and the negative effects it can cause... this video shows how fans (and the kpop industry) can be so demanding on idols that eventually they forget their real selves and just become puppets and slaves to the fans... hanni being an iphone is the most obvious... shes exists for the fans... she can play and sing and dance whenever they want her to... the other members have just become what the fans constantly reference them as.... Haerin is always told she looks and acts like a cat.... so she beleives she is one... hyein is thought to be a young princess .... the bear represents the fans who kill her prince charming because she belongs to the fans and no proince charming is taking her away from them... danielle is totally consumed in being an idol thats all she sees herself as now... (watching the white noise ties in with the first 2 parts in 'ditto' and is a parallel of the main girl in those two videos) and minji is thought of by fans as the 'mum' of the grop.. so she thinks shes a doctor ... so even in her crazy state she can still 'look after' her girls... the first 2 parts are 'ditto side a' followed by 'ditto side b' and is the opposite on how idols and kpop can negatively effect fans. edit: sorry just realised youve seen ditto side a and b and i even commented on it lol..... sorry... but yes this references that as well... haerin even says in ditto side a to the same cat in this video 'im not a cat' foreshadowing what she becomes in this... also danielle watching newjeans on white noise is a paralell to heesoo watching white noise in ditto... also hanni iphone writes ''hessoo answer my call'' referencing the phone ringing in heesoos room in ditto that she doesnt answer....
This is awesome. Too know that they went this far is incredible and hopefully inspires more in the industry to do more like this. Haha the edit in your comment made me laugh and i appreciate that you saw i saw Side A&B of Ditto. Ill be sad when this storyline of this sort ends but looking forward to it nonetheless. @@Xanohana Actually although a seperate story the video for ETA has the same concept... except a lot more of a disturbing situation... it was done by the same director as well :)
