I used to live in Sydney and my Nana had a delicious fig tree that I used to love eating the figs from, when we used to visit every Sunday when I was a kid. I only recently identified the beautiful figs from this tree, that it was a white adriatic and I have now purchased one for myself. Thanks for your review.
thanks for clearing this up. In Australia where i live, all figs like that are just called white Adriatics. i feel like these are just broad classifications as i have seen other peoples figs of the same name that are slightly different.
Wow thanks for the info I got a green ischia hopefully it fruits soon my was a small cutting its about year old now it's really bushy now but it's only like a foot tall .
PS I've got about 40 or so then started from cuttings that I put in the ground this Spring. They are all between 1 and 3'.I'm wondering what you think would be the bestWait at them up it's up. I'm thinking I would pot them up into 1 to 3 gallon pots in the Spring And then sell them. Do you have a video on what is the best soil mix for that? Actually, I'm sure you do. I'll just have to get off my butt and look it up!
Looking forward to growing out some of these. Love your content. Just wanted to point out some pronunciation notes. Ischia is said like "ISS-kee-ah" not "Eye-shee-uh". Battaglia Green is more like "Bat-talia." Panache should be "Pan-ash". And I noticed from other videos that Violette de Bordeaux should sound more like "Vee-oh-let duh Bordeaux" not "dey Bordeaux"
Good and helpful info Ross. So since I already have 2 Green Ischia I won't be adding to the Adriatic line due to fairly limited space. It's hard but I'm trying to get only 1 or 2 of what I consider a good rep for each ... well general variety. So basically from what you're saying I assume the GI is a good rep for the Adriatic line?
@@RossRaddi OK so maybe I mistook what you said. But since I already have 2 GI figs I guess I'll stick with them till maturity and see what I have. At that point I may/may not replace them. We'll see. Thanks for your reply.
Love my weekends being able to gather all this knowledge from your videos🫡💯🤜🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸 so many years of expertise, alls we need is a little motivation thank you for all you do
Hey Ross! Thank you for identifying my Adriatic fig tree. You are so right, strawberry.

IME, they take a few years to get going.
How would you compare the white adriatic to the white triana in terms of their taste?
Great one Ross 🔥💎
Hi Ross, I have one called JH Adriatic That I consider to be my favorite so far for my climate.

I'd probably wait until right before bud break.
@@RossRaddi ok thanks
A couple of days ended up going to 5' this summer.. What size pot would you think I should use to put them in for selling in the Spring?

How do you keep birds away?
..same..
Mine is a really vigorous grower.
Hi Ross, would you consider White Genoa to be an Adriatic type of fig?
No. It's more similar to Conadria or Atreano if I remember correctly.
Hi Ross, Does Dalmatie belong to the Adriatic family?
It does not. Remember, it must resemble the white Adriatic fig. Dalmatie is different in shape, size, flavor, and so many other ways.
People mistake this as Desert King in the PNW quite a bit. Kinda sad.

It's one of the worst I've noticed. There are better ones for sure.
At least this tree I have is one of the worst.
