At 0.14 those lovely old stone entrances with the metal grilles in front of them. They are not wartime bunkers. Much older. They are part of the great Loch Katrine - Glasgow City aquaduct system which was constructed in 1855 to supply Glasgow's with clean, fresh water. However when the pipes and tunnels had made it 35 miles South from Loch Katrine, right there at Lambhill / Possil the builders ran into The Forth & Clyde Canal! In order to carry the water underneath the canal they had to dig a very deep syphon pipe to draw the water deep under the canal and then back up. The entry shafts to inspect the syphon are those entries on either side of the canal. The larger one next to the first is from when the Katrine Scheme was expanded in 1895 to double the water capacity for Glasgow. This meant digging another deep syphon pipe under the canal and the necessity for more inspection shafts. Voila!
Great magnet fishing video MArk and not done this for some time now and really want to have another go again on my local pond ATB GL & HH LittleJohn_MD 🇬🇧
P.S. try tying the rope around your waist. And taking knots out of the rope gives better surface for pulling up heavier items, I learned a lot from a friend so just passing on the knowledge. 😃
looked so peacefull no canals down my way just the peir you know abt you got a vid up anyways. got geo 3 last vid but that was best find 9 silver in alk came off that plough last few wks gl n hh m8. James 👍👊

Hi Mark, hope ur feeling well now, be interesting to look inside those bunkers.
At least that canal is fairly clean, even though you didn't find much.
