Zachary James (3rd Prize 2009) on His Experience in the Lenya Competition

Zachary James takes a break from performing as Frank Maurrant in “Street Scene” with Virginia Opera to speak to a roomful of graduate students at the University of Maryland about his experiences in the Lotte Lenya Competition. Zachary won 3rd Prize in the 2009 competition. The presentation was part of the UMD School of Music “Kurt Weill Festival” in conjunction with UMD’s Year of Immigration.
