@@Thesecretcabal your website doesn't say about Google podcasts (which is the only one I use) but found you on there and just downloaded like 100hours to listen to. Can't wait, seriously, you guys have such a good channel on here, I want a double notification button so I don't miss anything.
Witness is so rad. I always want to play this. Great video Jame. I’ve heard you discuss Bootleggers before, but I don’t k ow if I’ve ever seen it. Cool getting to check it out here.
I fully agree. Rodney go out and play it with Jamie the next chance you have. I picked it up years ago after a recommendation from Zee and I am still intrigued by this rare but cool mechanism for a board game and I love the theme being Blake & Mortimer as I am such a fan of this particular Belgian comic stile that follows the stile of Herge.
Great video! I’m so glad to see new videos coming out on the channel again! Hey Jamie, one of my family’s go to forgotten games is Yardmaster. It was published by Crash Games and the best way I can describe it is a modern take on Uno where you’re trying to load up train cars by color or number. It’s really well done and interesting, and we love it. It’s not super heavy. I bet your family would enjoy it, as well. There was a second version called Yardmaster Express that made some changes but I’ve only played the original version, so I can’t compare the two. I recommend checking it out though, if you can find it.
What a solid, fun, legit list! I've loved all of these (except Witness)--each foundational games for when i kinda got back into tabletop games (when they were new!)
Chinatown is fun, but the problem is that your opponents can quickly calculate exactly how much money you are going to make. Kind of cuts into the negotiation
I think Z-Man keeps it in print. I actually purchased this copy not too long ago directly from Amazon. It seems to be out of stock again on the online retailers. I'd venture a guess that it's probably the easiest of these 5 games to find.
Yep. I certainly did! An antique car is classified as 25 years prior to the current date. I'd say 15-20 year old games can be classified as simply "old". If you'd like to watch a video on "antique" games, I'd be happy to make a new video with games made in the mid 90s!
@@Thesecretcabal Apples to oranges. Games have been around since ancient civilizations, cars haven't. Even in terms of just chess being around since the 15th century these games are babies. It's fine, I just know our definition differs as to what's an "old" game.
@@GuppyCzar It’s not just Jamie you are differing with, it’s every other gamer and every other board game industry person. To everyone but you, these are “old” games.
Seems like the best Board Game channel is primarily a podcast. The content, the editing, and Jamie's presentation are great
Y’all should do more TH-cam content. Jamie is great on cam, editing/production is too notch, You guys are fantastic
Love this content. Love your vibe. The music is great. Editing on point. Wished you did more TH-cam!
Thanks so much Karl!

Keep this content coming, Jamie! Love this perspective on the good oldie’s
Thanks Dorian!

Glad I own a copy of Witness =) Your camera quality is awesome
Jamie my guy! Love this video content, looks great, super helpful, juicy stuff. Keep up the amazing work, you're killing it!
Nice! So Happy you liked it. Thank you so much for the kind words Nicholas!
We played tons of Settlers of Catan, tried Traders of Genoa and it went flat. I still want to play Chinatown, I am hopeful.
Chinatown is a classic. Very simple, but timeless and elegant.

Thanks for the content dude!!
My Pleasure! Glad you're enjoying it!
Great list! I almost bought a used copy of bootleggers a few years ago, and now after this video, I wish I had.
Witness sounds fun. But it might be a while until people feel comfortable whispering into someone's ear!
Recently I played Quo Vadis (Knizia '91). Negotiation game played under 45min. To me it felt little bit like Chinatown and Genoa.

Local game shop is sellimg a USED copy of "Witness" for almost 100 USD... They need to reprint that game.
Did KS do a reprint of Chinatown recently? Looks familiar…

Thanks! Didn't take much work, just stopped using a clippers on my face for a few weeks :)
Serenissima is introduced as 03, but has 02 on screen while being described. Then Witness is introduced as 03.
Crap, must have accidentally swapped them in the editing! Thanks for letting me know
"Today Im gonna talk about old games"
Talks about games made in the 2000s.

Semantic disagreements are tight!
@@total_Gulby Funny you say that, I've been podcasting for 10 years now and I'm always mining for semantic disagreements. They're like gold :)
