Just looked back and saw you 😊 I tried to keep a consistent pace the whole run and felt good throughout most of it. How did you find the race? A lot of people complaining about the course and the heat, I found it enjoyable but I would say that when I hit a PB I guess 😊
@@Runningwithhayden It was my first so was not sure what a marathon would be like. I went off to fast really, first 10k 45min and my PB for 10k race is 40 min so to fast. I felt ok until the turnaround point, then the energy just went and felt sick. 36:13 in the end, not sure what I would have got if paced better. But I really enjoyed it, pain and heat aside it was great. I have signed up for next year and hope to tackle it a bit better. Only points Id say is, pacers would be nice. No signs at the end to say how to get to the pre paid bus. Other than that a fab time.
Great video too Hayden, agree its a tougher course than the organisers make out. Good luck for Berlin, sub3:10 or even just go Sub3 ? whatever it is i'm sure it will be great
Hey mate how are you? Appreciate the feedback on the video 👍 I Just watched yours back and as you said with another marathon in your legs not long ago at all you out in a fantastic performance!! My Berlin plan starts tomorrow 🤦♂️ I’m not gonna go for nothing silly just see how the training goes before nailing down a time I wanna achieve although 3:10 would get me in a lot of good for age races so you never know 😀 real good meeting and good luck for everything you do, hopefully catch up again at another race one day 👍
@@Runningwithhayden thanks Hayden, doing good thanks, a week on now and the legs are feeling good so I'm also looking forward to getting back into the training. I was supposed to be going for 3:10 too in Chester my next one, but it's a good 4 months away. I'll see how the training shapes up. Maybe I train for 3:10 and come back with 3:20 😂 Wish you all the best with the training, and good luck to complete all the majors.
Great video. I was on it in the green vest on the beach part behind you. Never saw you again your pace really picked up at that point. Great run!
