Yeah, I was actually going to mention the fact that the way they were binding is unsafe. A safer alternative to duct tape would be KT tape, but like everything in the world, it is important to do research prior to using it. Honestly, like you said, the best method is to just use binders, or do research to find safe alternatives if for some reason a binder is not an option
binders can also be pretty dangerous /especially/ so when performing like that, a good alternative would be transtape which is made specifically for binding in mind so its safer for activities like performing or sports and it lasts for like days if you want it to without taking it off

I love how when the Try Guys did this, they were all about the competition and who would be prettiest, but when women did it, they were all focussed on sexually confusing the audience.

DO NOT BIND YOUR BREASTS WITH TAPE OF ANY SORT. Not an age bandage, not tape, you NEED to use a 'binder' specifically for this purpose. You can and most likely will damage your breast tissue and rib cage, and your breathing will be labored. I just want anyone to stay safe if they do this

THIIIIS! This is such a big thing in the cosplay world! You could do so much damage to yourself by using ace bandages and/or tape! Chest binders are not too expensive either. I have two binders myself for male cosplays and both were about $40-$50 each.
I do cosplay and sometimes I do cross-play however I use a compression shirt that fits my body.
