No idea this had a PSX release, I had a lot of good times with the Sega CD version back in the day. I definitely miss the goofy English voices though, haha!
I have always wondered if this game was intended to be a prequel to or was considered the original version of the Taito game The Legend of Kage. In my humble opinion, while it's easy to write Ninja Hayate off as a Dragon's Lair wannabe, I kinda saw the game as an interactive, animated take on the Castlevania series, that is, if the Castlevania series took place in feudal Japan. I played Ninja Hayate's only North American release, which was called Revenge of the Ninja, on the Sega CD back in the early '90s. I do wish he wore pants, though, LOL.
Theirs also Dragons Lair Dragons Lair 2:Time Warp Time Gal Road Avenger Esh’s Aurunmilla Cobra Command Badlands Super Don Quixote Space Ace Cliff Hanger Thayers Quest Braindead 13 Triad Stone Albegas (Cybernauts) that’s about it.
9:24 is one of my favorite parts of the US version. The lack of music and Hayate's voice is the blurst.
Not sure if it's me or this game is connected or related to it's successor, The Ninja Warriors because of the hunchback with metallic claws?
The original Captain Underpants.
Sometimes heroes come in all sizes!
My version doesn’t show the arrows.
never heard of this one, interesting, japanese made their own dragon's lair
the Video game has inserted into the Anime & Manga.
So basically a carbon copy of Dragon's Lair
Yep
More something similar to Super Don Quixote, as the controller commands are visualized. There were a lot of laser disc games in that time.
hello, do you know where to find the manual ? please
素晴らしき完璧😊
15:33 Failed!

The hunchback enemy does appear in a 1989 arcade game, The Ninja Warriors.
So this is just.. QTE the Game.
It's an interactive movie yes.
Dragon's Lair beat this to earn that title.
Wacky upskirt ninja! (As seen on Retsupray.)
So this is the 3rd animated QTE game I've seen
It's a FMV game.
I know, there are still QTEs, the whole game is about it
Theirs also
Dragons Lair
Dragons Lair 2:Time Warp
Time Gal
Road Avenger
Esh’s Aurunmilla
Cobra Command
Badlands
Super Don Quixote
Space Ace
Cliff Hanger
Thayers Quest
Braindead 13
Triad Stone
Albegas (Cybernauts)
