In the meantime, Grim Dawn is releasing a third expansion 7 years after the original launch, working on a 1.2 patch incorporating favourite mods into the game with credit/permission of the creators, has a huge modding scene that runs their own seasons if that's your thing. In my opinion, it's probably the truest diablo 2 successor (with some mods incorporating or recreating (parts of) d2 directly. Oh, and offline of course. The graphics may be outdated compared to something with a budget like diablo 4, but the gameplay is stellar. I hope you (mortismal or reader) will give it a try some day!

I share your optimism on this topic, but only time will tell. Arcanum 2 is something I've never seen a possibility of - hell, I'd love a remaster of the first game more than a sequel.
I bought the game after watching your initial review. While I had fun with it, I can't shake the feeling that I am in an "abusive relationship". It feels like a constant mind game where I have to navigate how the devs are trying to manipulate me and put me on a hamster wheel. This is NOT how gaming should be, and D4 is my first and last game from Blizzard.
To be clear I still stand by my review, I enjoy the game, it's just this live service model they insist on that's gonna keep it from being anything truly great. Which is why I probably wont participate in these seasons much and I think the dev time spent on them and pumping out $20 skins like clockwork is effort that should be spent on meaningful paid expansions and patches that make an individuals experience better not maintaining balance in an ARPG.
Diablo IV's main problem wasn't the 1.1 patch that nerfed a lot of stuff. D4 has a lot of structural problems, most related to lack of content in the endgame, which is essential to any arpg game. That's why I'll wait and see if this season is worth after a week, when people actually get to the endgame. As a side note, I can't stress enough how much I recommend Grim Dawn to you; it's literally the antithesis of everything you said you disliked in D4. The game is getting a third expansion next year and you should totally cover that. Cheers, Mortis.

It also is a highly addictive gameplay, pretty similar to a slot machine, so it doesn't make sense to put a entry fee at 70$ for an always online game designed to hook you in then make money with season passes and cosmetics. Just look at Path of Exile, if you're a good dealer the junkies will open their wallet willingly to buy your shit once you've hooked them with some well cooked freebies.
@@etienne8110 The thing is most player will reach endgame in D4. D4 endgame (in terms of gameplay content) was achieved at world tier 3 which can be entered at level about level 50 (as lost a high 30s for particularly good/lucky players). Once a player is in WT3 the only thing that they cant do yet is face Uber Lilith and that's just one boss who isn't even that hard. Everything that you do in WT3, you do in WT4. But that's not really a problem because every ARPG has repetitive endgame content and people just seem to ignore the repetitiveness of other ARPGs because the narrative is "D4 bad" (it can and will improve but it isn't bad). Sure PoE has more variety but that game has been out for well over a decade and that variety came incrementally.
@@dealbreakerc and how many reach lvl50? Steam achievement for that says 8.19%... That was kind of my point. You should really take a look at the metrics. Your experience is that of the minority. Diablo has been such a disappointment, I don’t know if they will ever be able to draw me back in. I’ve been watching a lot of Tim Cain lately and he makes is very clear that losing the rights to Arcanum is one of his biggest regrets. I hope one day he gets to make a sequel.
I'm not trying to start an argument or anything but as a non blizzard fan, it just seems so clear to me that D4 was gonna be bad. Everything about how the company treat it's fans and its own IP suggests that they care about nothing but making a quick buck. I would honestly be surprised if D4 came out as a good game.
I agree. QoL changes are good, but those were never my biggest gripes with the game. It is still a boring game, with boring end game, boring combat, flawed screenplay during campaign, and a field of view as big as the keyhole. It's fascinating to see how easy some of the Blizzard players are to please. If this game weren't called Diablo and were developed by NetEase for example, would anyone still be this positive about it? Also, let's please not pretend a battle pass in a full priced game is anything to be encouraged.
You bring up a good point with Blizzard having us participate with an only-only experience even though we paid full price for this game already. I think it's just another reason why AAA studios are contending with indies because the smaller studios understand we don't like this and it doesn't stop you from making money either. It's just pure greed.
So I finally picked it up because it made the jump to steam and now I have the native steam deck support. The live service seasonal stuff doesn’t bother me too much because I’m more a casual guy who just wants to do the story with a few different characters. I too want an offline mode though, especially with the deck. I often am on the deck without an internet connection or using my phone as a hotspot. That doesn’t work with D4.
I chose not to pull the trigger on D4 - it just seemed off to me. Still think I made the right call, i'm playing D2R on the side along other games and having a blast :)
@@jmmywyf4lyfmy guess is a lot of cheaper rookie developers, a rare few veterans, and less time they needed to get anything done right before someone in charge decided to scrap everything and start again. I swear, 75 % of problems *in game development* are managers so terrible any other industry would fire or demote them for incompetense. The rest is publisher nonsense and terrible woking conditions. If baffling how often games are crunched together in the last month or even well after release these days. Like, I'm glad people enjoy No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077, but it would have been way better if they were actually finished games on release. Not that I buy games on release, I have no interest in paying to QA the beta. I play most games after the final DLC bundle or even the final patch is released.
You made the right call. I regret buying D4. It's such a boring slog filled with live service BS. I have quit 3 times: level 33, level 42, and level 50. I never even finished the campaign because it just feels like one chore after another.
The main issue with D4 is the lack of end content especially when you start to compare with other ARPG is not good. In one side and going back to D3 they were able to get away during that time for a long time however the market and current ARPG ecosistem is in a much better shape right now. The next thing is that many current ARPG are full of content even some of the early access games will shadow D4 in that area. At this point they need to generate at least a couple of more end game mechanics and/or game modes that can be play during a season in order to really extend the life cicle of each one if not this is going to be a one trick ponie every season.

Armored Core For Answer had a PHENOMENAL system for patch management; the player can select which patch regulation they want to play on from an in-game menu. Boom, done. Simple and beautiful. @@Zixxthify nope. that's not true at all, the most recent game and the one I'm talking about here both have PvP components, and the fifth generation was largely based on its multiplayer.
I got Diablo 4 free with a graphics card. I think getting it for free helped me enjoy it more than I might have if I'd payef full whack. I wuite enjoyed it, apart from the habnd and wrist pain it caused! The second I finished the main story I stopped playing as it felt like enough by then.
Getting a game for cheaper lets you enjoy a game more purely. It's why I liked Anthem and Mass Effect: Andromeda. I picked them both up like 18-24 months after their launch, for like $20 each. I for sure had $20 of fun with each one. :)
Now I understand why there so much hate happening on forums. The first “nerf” patch scared people, and they couldn’t recover until next patch. And it was fortnight after. Personally me I get miserable at that time, but I absolutely love this game and it becomes better with every patch
Blizzard has spared no effort over the years in alienating me as a customer. This goes for how they design their games and write theirs stories up to how they choose all monetization options available and how they manage their company as a whole. I've had the ARPG itch for a while, but the last one I played was D3, which was extremely dumbed down, was unnecessarily online and also had one of the classes locked behind a paywall. PoE is supposed to be the best one around, but I found it to be a bit daunting to learn. This year I bit the bullet and bought Grim Dawn. It has enough crunch to make theorycrafting fun without becoming overwhelming, and follows the old school model I prefer (base game, expansion packs, offline). Besides being a bit old, the game will receive an update soon, and a new expansion was announced for the next year. Definitive recommendation from me of you wish to steer clear from Bobby Kotick's ant maze.
I said i was gonna play and give it one more shot to not suck and I got an error message on ps5 right off the bat. Came back a few hours later and got to 15 on my Druid and couldn’t do his class quest because it was bugged… I might be done for life
I told my friend as of right now, D4 is a great game to play to slay until level 100 and mess around with a few builds, do the new content then wait for next season. By S4 I think the game will be a game you will actually want to level multiple characters and do more endgame. If the next few patches are as big as the last one then the game will be in a decent spot.
I just think that 500 BRL for the premium version (that is roughly one-third of the minimum wage in Brazil) doesn't really makes sense, especially if you consider that you dont have an offline mode, basically it feels that the game isn't really yours, to be cool you have to spend more time and more money in a battle pass and in a cash shop, while in other entries you could just unlock everything. I will just keep the game in the back of my mind and come back two to four years in the future when the prices will be more reasonably.
Glad I waited on picking it up since it showed up on steam. Still going to wait for a deeper sale, so many good games out right now there isn't a rush to buy anything at near full price.
After D4 came out on Game Pass, I was wrapping up with D2R before starting D4. I only wanted to finish the campaing because I never did on the original game. I'm not a hardcore Diablo player or a dedicated fan, I'm just a casual. Although I have played D3 with friends and I have done quite a bit of post-story content in it. So speaking only (and strictly) from a casual's point of view, D4 so far has been positive and fun for me. There are a few things that bug me but for the most part it's good. Admittedly I have only played around 5-10 hours so far but still, so far so good. But again, keep in mind I speak from the PoV of a casual who only plans to play main story content. I'm sure things must be different for people who want to play with others, do PvP, seasonal content and all that jazz. But for me a fun one so far.
Just discovered your channel and it’s been fantastic, really insightful commentary on a lot of things. One thing I can almost guarantee is that Microsoft isn’t going to do anything like give us offline modes. They are going to try and recoup their 70b dollar investment ASAP, much to the chagrin of gamers. At the same time it doesn’t matter cause folks will spend on these games and services and add one - it’s a shitty cycle we’re in.
I really wish Diablo 3 on PC supported gamepads/controllers. I don’t have an Xbox anymore and play on my ROG Ally a lot more than my desktop lately and I would love to jump back into 3. 4 like for many people hasn’t hit the spot for me, both in art design and gameplay.
Have you tried Grim Dawn? I haven't played Diablo 2 but I've heard its quite similar. There is an expansion and 1.2 update and a new expansion coming out in 2024. Ive enjoyed it quite a bit, when your schedule is less busy it might be fun to check out.
This is definitely the first game I think of when I think of Diablo 2-esque ARPGs. I would say that's it's the best of the genre, at least of the ones I've played (which is quite a few.)
Season 2 is pretty good so far. I hope they keep going in the general direction they are with it. Also I don't know how I would feel about an Arcanum sequel unless they can get the OG writers and Tim Cain, but I think it's the perfect spot for a remake. Even a remaster with bug fixes and better balance/combat would be amazing.
I hated that they charged for Mk V in Halo 4 back in the day and I hate it now. Chief’s armors should always be free even if it means doing a tough challenge/achievement.
I played about 2 hours of the new season, it's a big step up from season 1, not that it's saying much, but i find it very enjoyable so far. LE : Technical issues are kinda annoying tho, lots of freezing and stuttering
Back in 2013, Microsoft tried to force _everything_ on Xbox One to be online only, because the Xbox One itself required a constant internet connection to function. After backlash, they changed that. But that's still the direction they're going. It's only a matter of time before some, if not most, of these games are Game Pass exclusive.
An offline-mode would be a gift from the gods🙏🏻- I personally think that sooner or later D4'll be completely dead if BLIZZARD don't change their thinking of handling the game and especially their paying customers🤷🏻♂️. I'm absolutely dissapointed of the game and the company bc I had really high expectations of D4 since the first open beta - maybe too high expectations, but that's on me🤷🏻♂️ As always, really good content👍🏻 - thanks a lot for that and have a good one🤘🏻🎩🍻cheers, good sir...
They should have added Blood Knight from the mobile game to go with the content as part of the season pass my, imo. Complete the pass you get the job, or something. Every 2 passes should have a class.
As someone whose first Diablo game was D4, I enjoyed the game enough to want to revisit the older titles. But still unsure whether I want to continue playing the game through the seasons.
I liked the story, even the gameplay to an extend, but man do I ever dislike the sharing of the map with other players. It breaks the immersion, and that's what I loved with the previous ones
Great video - I especially appreciated your thoughts on an idealized version of the game. Btw, have you checked out Halls of Torment? Based on your history with the Diablo series I feel like you might appreciate it.
Yeah I feel like I'm done with Diablo for a long time. I have to be in the right mood for ARPGs because there's a lot of grinding and whatnot, and there's still a lot of qol missing. An offline mode would be great though, as always online means no mods, addons and the amount of replayability added for free to games because of mods is huge. I'm glad it's still being worked on and maybe next year sometime I'll be wanting more. For now I'm still playing BG3 because it's that good.
You know, I was pretty worried about what would happen with Obsidian when they were purchased by Microsoft, but it kinda sounds like the Pillars series will actually continue (probably thanks to BG3, tbf).
Considering wow classic, Blizzard is not entirely opposed to making previous version of their game available, so it isn't a matter of principle for them. It is an effective way to keep people subscribed though, so I doubt they would make earlier versions of D4 available without being online and monetized.
You know, despite all the negative sentiment toward this game I think it’s the second most enjoyable game I’ve played this year. Second to BG3 of course.
I do how for you to get the Diablo 4 offline mode but I fear Microsoft might stop it. It’ll dig into their Game Pass model as that’s always online. I hope I’m wrong though.
Play Diablo 4 like you played Diablo 2? I see there was no mention of 3 or Immortal. With the inclusion of 4, it seems that a quality Diablo title that you enjoy returning to is the exception, not the rule. Onward to 300k. All glory to the algorithm.
Three was pretty good after Reaper of Souls (I have both the collectors editions) but it suffered from being online only as well which is why I dont talk about it much. Immortal I wouldn't even consider a game so much as a dumpster fire.
D4 has issues but it got 350 hours out of me and I think that's more than enough for my 70$. It seems to be moving in the right direction though, and after the first expansion I think it will be in a much better place.
I know how people are shitting on Diablo 4 by comparing it to Path of Exile and I am not asking to do the same, but would you be interested at some point to check out Path of Exile sometime in the future? Not to compare it to D4, but just as you mentioned that you have a special connection to Diablo and PoE is the closest thing to it, so I would very much love to know your opinion on it after you've tried it out.
Havent played since pre season 1, got 3 characters to 100 before that and another 2 to around 70. Full bis max rolls and gear on my druid at that point. Did all this for uber lilith but the fight just wasnt fun. And besides that there was nothing for me to do with my max gear i spent hours upon hours grinding for.
For me, it's just hard to get back into a game once I have lost interested in it. It takes me years to reinstall No Man's Sky to give it a 2nd chance. So, I hope Blizzard keep fixing/improving D4, but I don't think I will reinstall in any near future.
Logged in and played for like 30 min Still getting 5-10sec lag spikes every time a players enters my screen Renown still didnt complete cant see more than 5 inches away from char while monsters shoot me 2 screens away got bored and logged out back to BG3
Couldn't agree more about the online statement. It's funny because I started playing PoE which is a online service game but am enjoying it more. The fact I spent 70 dollars on (my opinion here) a worse game compared to Path of Exile in terms of quality of life features and content, is disappointing. I would like it if it handled online like Diablo 3 did. Not needed unless you wanted to play with friends. Even inventory management was better in Diablo 3. I regreted buying Diablo 4 the most out of every other game I've bought.
I personally loved playing it at launch, totally feel like I got my money’s worth, and couldn’t get behind any of the hate it got. that said, as much, as I want new stuff, I can’t bring myself to pay money every few months and rolling a new character every time. Yes I am an old school gamer so been there and don’t that for a decade. I just think that seasonal mode is outdated these days for Diablo.
Just picked up one of your hoodies. Been wanting one for a bit but life as a artist is one of hard choices at times 😅. Enjoy the video and once again find myself in agreement
does anyone know what the requirements are to become a vampire? is it a high level end game thing? i bought the game on launch but havent played it much at all. i would come back for my necromancer to become a vampire, assuming its something i wouldnt have to wait till end game to get.
The one thing time doesn’t do is go backwards. These companies never, ever cede monetary gain for the sake of games they make. It’s kind of insane, really. They know the answers to the test, but they make waaay more money by failing it. Idk how you even change that incentive structure, but it’s not good for any of the things we all love. D2 hardcore was where I learned what pc gaming could be
Second (or third or fourth) the people saying give Grim Dawn a chance. Looking forward to the new xpac and Titanquest 2 as well. I don't care how bad people say it is, the live service component of D4 feels like a tender, caressing hand after playing 6 years of Destiny 2
100% D4 is a pretty fun game, it has and had alot of good things going for it, but being a live service will always mean this is a worse title than any prior diablo. It's sad almost all games in this genre are a live service as you say. Also love the Arcanum call out. Would love a remaster given the state of the game currently and how hard it is to get playing. Could definitely get into the CRPG market, and look to emulate success that BG3 and Pathfinder has found in the genre.
Tim Cain has a YT channel, just yesterday I was watching the two discussions videos he did with Leo Boyarski talking about their time at Interplay and Troika. They seemed to imply that the conditions in which they made Fallout and Arcanum were "lightning in a bottle", they were a team of talented young game devs going above and beyond cramming every idea they could in those games, putting extra hours as they had so much fun and energy learning as they go... A remake seems possible but I don't know if they'd be willing to try making a sequel as they know the VG industry and market and audiences and even they themselves are not who and what they were at that point in time.
I feel the time for doing such a move is best now, given the unknowable future for this genre. Not to throw shots, but I wonder how much the market can bare these types of games, and how successful they are. There are of course recent ones like Wotr, Wasteland, and of of course BG3. And while a very well made game will always do "well" would it do well enough to satisfy microsoft? I feel they could play it safe and just do a remaster, which would bring it up to just enough above water so you don't need a witch doctor to make it play on a computer. But I would still kill for a full remake. Thanks for the info@@Biouke

Unfortunately for Blizzard and D4, I just don't find any reason to play it. With the likes of Grim Dawn (which had an amazing free update), Titan Quest, TL2 and D2R around, all which can be played offline and with mods, D4 ironically seems like a relic. I refuse to pay for a game that forces you to play online. Completely removing a singleplayer mode means completely removing my interest in it. Adding an offline mode would change all of that, but it almost certainly won't happen.
@@hxc00p3r2 You're not hearing me. I won't have fun. Do you think we really have any hope about a D4 offline mode? From what I read in the reviews it would be not so easy as to turn off a switch, the game would have to be reworked/rebalanced. But from what I heard that happened with D3, so we can only hope. And about Arcanum, a sequel would be amazing, but most certainly not Blizzard, I would guess InXile.
@@jmmywyf4lyf I know that InXile is owned by MS, that is why I said it. About D4, with Activision that was impossible, but with MS I think there is a small chance for an offline mode, but I agree probably not going to happen.
One of the core problems with Diablo 4 is trying to nerf and tune classes for an ARPG game like an MMO. There are no seasonal ladders, class ladders and end game is basically nonexistent. The logic is so flawed.
Arcanum had terrible game design but an amazing world and story, so if they just fix the first part in a remake or a sequel, it would be an amazing experience.
If I was actually making the decisions, Id gauge interest with an enhanced edition that brought a lot of the unofficial patch changes that make it playable etc while publicly announcing that we'd use the success or failure of that to allocate resources to a potential sequel if the stats were promising/worthwhile. Meaningfully update an old IP to add to game pass at the same time seems like an easy PR win even if there isnt enough there to warrant a sequel financially.
Seasonal mechanics should be part of and later rolled into the eternal realm, just like with POE, with seasonal leaderboards for people who like the race. They might be headed in this direction, we’ll see if they can swallow their pride enough to just copy a better model. They could even make more money off the battle pass that way since a lot of people (dadgamers, which, let’s face it, is most of the Diablo fanbase now) actually play eternal.
@@irishsage2459 Oh, of that I have no doubt, but I meant that they would introduce the class as an npc hunting the vampire; similar to the way Natalya in Diablo 2 'introduced' the assassin class.

Diablo has been such a disappointment, I don’t know if they will ever be able to draw me back in. I’ve been watching a lot of Tim Cain lately and he makes is very clear that losing the rights to Arcanum is one of his biggest regrets. I hope one day he gets to make a sequel.
I just skipped it, I'm sure I'll enjoy it in a few years when I get it for 5-10$ on steam...
@@varieedeventualiihope you skipped Diablo, not Arcanum
@@NoRHK Oh yes, talking about Diablo 🤣
You bring up a good point with Blizzard having us participate with an only-only experience even though we paid full price for this game already. I think it's just another reason why AAA studios are contending with indies because the smaller studios understand we don't like this and it doesn't stop you from making money either. It's just pure greed.
Perfect timing, literally been looking for this exact video since the steam release
I'm having a lot of fun with it still. But I just love ARPGS. D2R is still fun too when I get sick of the D4 live service crap
Would you please share some of that quality arpg content you've been consumin'? Path of exile & wolfcen excluded please.

I’m really happy with season 2 so far. It feels better in a lot of ways. And while I’m not far into it yet it does feel like there is a lot more to do, not just in regards to new content but also because old content has new reasons to do it and rewards the player better for your time.
Yea everybody that bought into D4 loved it for some time at release aswell. @me in 2 weeks here and tell me how great it really is im curious, no matter the outcome 👍🏻
@@Fourside__how it felt in the early game felt way different than once you go deeper into WT3 and 4. I think it led to a lot of reviews that didn’t truly reflect how the game really was. It was a game where 75hrs played told a way different story than 35
I agree it would be great to have an offline mode. I hesitate to purchase the game for this precise reason.

Armored Core For Answer had a PHENOMENAL system for patch management; the player can select which patch regulation they want to play on from an in-game menu. Boom, done. Simple and beautiful. You wanna roll back to patch 1.0 to use the busted ass missiles? Or the 1.3 era when everything was a bit faster? Go right ahead. I wish more devs would bother.
Armored Core is single player
Lol I’m impressed with how many vids you are putting out in a week while being able to 100% the games at the same time 😮
I just think that 500 BRL for the premium version (that is roughly one-third of the minimum wage in Brazil) doesn't really makes sense, especially if you consider that you dont have an offline mode, basically it feels that the game isn't really yours, to be cool you have to spend more time and more money in a battle pass and in a cash shop, while in other entries you could just unlock everything.
I absolutely regret buying D4.
I don’t regret buying D4, because I never did. Grim dawn still my top arpg and we are getting an expansion soon.
Ty for your thoughts bro
Have you tried Grim Dawn? I haven't played Diablo 2 but I've heard its quite similar. There is an expansion and 1.2 update and a new expansion coming out in 2024. Ive enjoyed it quite a bit, when your schedule is less busy it might be fun to check out.
that's the first arpg that comes to mind that i would absolutely recommend to anyone who cant stand the online BS!
Grim Dawn is awful and has not aged well at all
@Mello675 GD is the best arpg today so if it didn’t age well, the genre is rough.
This is definitely the first game I think of when I think of Diablo 2-esque ARPGs. I would say that's it's the best of the genre, at least of the ones I've played (which is quite a few.)
Let me guess, it is a PC only game? I need to buy a new PC I'm missing out :'(
Season 2 is pretty good so far. I hope they keep going in the general direction they are with it. Also I don't know how I would feel about an Arcanum sequel unless they can get the OG writers and Tim Cain, but I think it's the perfect spot for a remake. Even a remaster with bug fixes and better balance/combat would be amazing.
As a new player would this keep me intrigued overall??
I hated that they charged for Mk V in Halo 4 back in the day and I hate it now. Chief’s armors should always be free even if it means doing a tough challenge/achievement.
Nice review of season 2 and the current state of Diablo IV! thank you
I played about 2 hours of the new season, it's a big step up from season 1, not that it's saying much, but i find it very enjoyable so far.
LE : Technical issues are kinda annoying tho, lots of freezing and stuttering
Totally agree man! Great video
Sensible suggestion about an offline version. Also another like for Arcanum 2.
An offline-mode would be a gift from the gods🙏🏻- I personally think that sooner or later D4'll be completely dead if BLIZZARD don't change their thinking of handling the game and especially their paying customers🤷🏻♂️. I'm absolutely dissapointed of the game and the company bc I had really high expectations of D4 since the first open beta - maybe too high expectations, but that's on me🤷🏻♂️
As always, really good content👍🏻 - thanks a lot for that and have a good one🤘🏻🎩🍻cheers, good sir...
Forsat video again! Thanks for the vingens.
Wouldn’t call the vampire theme “Halloween” in the d4 universe tho. Anything is already pretty dark 😅
I quit D4 right when season 1 started and am looking to see if if its worth coming back to now.
Are the seasons limited time content ?
Yes. Every season has a ending. Season one was three months.
Great video as always 👍👌🏻
As someone who has no experience with the diablo series is the game worth getting as it’s on sale right now?
An offline singleplayer mode would mean people could mod in all the cosmetics plus more, which would kill the online mode.
Great vid thanks !
Fantastic advice for Microsoft. We will see if they take it.
In before offline mode subscription service. lol
You know, I was pretty worried about what would happen with Obsidian when they were purchased by Microsoft, but it kinda sounds like the Pillars series will actually continue (probably thanks to BG3, tbf).
Great joke bro
I hope to see a similar video on Path of Exile or Last Epoch!
I’m sure D4 is fine, but is it 70 freedom bucks better than the alternatives? Seems unlikely.
It got 3.5hrs out of me :( As a result, I can't even refund it :/
I know how people are shitting on Diablo 4 by comparing it to Path of Exile and I am not asking to do the same, but would you be interested at some point to check out Path of Exile sometime in the future? Not to compare it to D4, but just as you mentioned that you have a special connection to Diablo and PoE is the closest thing to it, so I would very much love to know your opinion on it after you've tried it out.
I've played it quite a bit, it's very good, difficult to approach from a couple hours here and there like I do with ARPGs
Always online is the essence of every issue I have with diablo four
Havent played since pre season 1, got 3 characters to 100 before that and another 2 to around 70. Full bis max rolls and gear on my druid at that point. Did all this for uber lilith but the fight just wasnt fun. And besides that there was nothing for me to do with my max gear i spent hours upon hours grinding for.
the only thing that could bring me back is a reaper of souls-style expansion, but the seasonal model has mostly killed my hopes of that ever happening
For me, it's just hard to get back into a game once I have lost interested in it. It takes me years to reinstall No Man's Sky to give it a 2nd chance. So, I hope Blizzard keep fixing/improving D4, but I don't think I will reinstall in any near future.

Still getting 5-10sec lag spikes every time a players enters my screen
Renown still didnt complete
cant see more than 5 inches away from char while monsters shoot me 2 screens away

I regreted buying Diablo 4 the most out of every other game I've bought.
hey im havin 395002 error since yesterday i log in to chracter screen but i cant go further then this keep showing this error
Seasons are free. It's just the cosmetic battle pass that costs money, completely optional.
Came back to give this game another try and I gotta say its definitely way better than 1st season
Just picked up one of your hoodies. Been wanting one for a bit but life as a artist is one of hard choices at times 😅. Enjoy the video and once again find myself in agreement
D4 is basically the shell of a decent if underwhelming Diablo game that’s been nerfed and carved up to prioritize monetization and maximizing playtime
I’m just trying to know if I should get the game now 😭
Yeah, you'll get your moneys worth on the base game plenty
Diablo 3 on console allowed seasonal characters to be used offline.
I think that Live services games became so abundant that everyone is kind burned out by it right now

I'll pick up the game on a deep sale

Yeah
Trust is the reason I haven’t bought this game yet and will wait until they finally get it where it should have been at launch.
Has anyone had their minions all die on eternal realm when logging out. Such a pain since season 2 started.
Playing it on gamepass, it honestly gets its value's worth 🙂
You nailed that good sir ! offline would be amazing.
i want to feel sympathy for fans of blizzard (and bethesda now with starfield) but as an avid skyrim, oblivion, world of warcraft, and overwatch enjoyer.... we all should have known tbh
I think majority of us that stopped playing the game is because of the NON STOP nerfs blizzard keeps throwing. i rmb playing WW Barb at launch but after back to back nerfs i just couldnt be bothered playing anymore if every single good equp is gonna get nerfed
Unfortunately for Blizzard and D4, I just don't find any reason to play it. With the likes of Grim Dawn (which had an amazing free update), Titan Quest, TL2 and D2R around, all which can be played offline and with mods, D4 ironically seems like a relic. Even Last Epoch, which I haven't touched in ages I'd sooner go back to.
It's nice to see this game getting good, but I'm still pretty glad Path of Exile 2's announcement showed me that if I'm going to enjoy an ARPG it's probably not going to be Diablo 4.
I refuse to pay for a game that forces you to play online. Completely removing a singleplayer mode means completely removing my interest in it. Adding an offline mode would change all of that, but it almost certainly won't happen.
This is an old complaint. They trying to make it fun right now 😂
@Khepriem That’s a little shallow, if you have fun with a game just play it… it’s a videogame
@@hxc00p3r2 You're not hearing me. I won't have fun. Knowing I don't own something I just paid for and that it will eventually get taken away, even as soon as an internet outage, will suck all the fun out. Saying "Ignore what you don't like and just enjoy the pixels." is quite a lot more shallow, no?
Do you think we really have any hope about a D4 offline mode?
From what I read in the reviews it would be not so easy as to turn off a switch, the game would have to be reworked/rebalanced. But from what I heard that happened with D3, so we can only hope.
And about Arcanum, a sequel would be amazing, but most certainly not Blizzard, I would guess InXile.
There's a private server available already that's... Functional. It's not as good as the corporate servers yet, but they're working on it
@@jmmywyf4lyf I know that InXile is owned by MS, that is why I said it.
I mean paying $70 to possibly have everything cut off at any second is bs... If it was like this at the very least reduce the cost of the game
was hoping blood knight was making a transfer to DIablo Iv. Oh well I guess.
Stop having fun now is a mantra for online games. Pay us more for a game you've paid for is another.
Season 2 is pretty lit
There's just so many games to play right now. Just don't see making time to return to Diablo
I bet you there going to use the season to introduce blood knights to the main line diablo series, in some way or manner.
Won't be a new class until there's a paid DLC. This is Blizzard, after all.
@@irishsage2459 Oh, of that I have no doubt, but I meant that they would introduce the class as an npc hunting the vampire; similar to the way Natalya in Diablo 2 'introduced' the assassin class.
I wish, they could do offline, but more likely are private realms.
I am very disappointed in myself for buying Diablo 4. D1+2 were what solidified my love for video games. Should've learned my lesson after Diablo 3.
I will give it a shot again when its fixed not before, im enjoying cyberpunk dlc etc to much atm.
