When I was young ( I'm 62) we used to use old catalog we used to get in the mail from different seasons. Like spring and fall from Sears. And their Christmas catalog .we hardly ever used books then . But I understand using them now. Anyway we made different designs,using them to make door stops or decorations by spray painting them after they were folded and then adored with buttons or pompoms or bells. Thanks for bringing a new take on my memories.
Looks super easy! I found a few old German books on our library's freebie table to do this to. It will be a great way to occupy our hands while we listen to an audio book!

Thanks for the demonstration and suggestion to check out other You Tube videos for different ideas. I made two last weekend and have more to go! I bought the books at thrift stores for $1-1.59 US dollars.
Very nice! You are a good instructor. I would paint with Gold first and then use glue and glitter. I have to find a book and try it. Thanks for the video. The one Vibeke made: did she Cut every single page as half a tree or did she fold some of it?
Joan Dam From what I understood, Vibeke cut each page diagonally from tip to outer corner, then at five equal spacings she cut in horizontally and folded down small triangles to make the points of the branches. I'm going to watch again. Maybe there's something similar on Pinterest.
This is such a great idea, I’m really interested to see and learn about some Danish crafts as I’ve mentioned before my Grandmother came from Copenhagen and I am excited to learn more about the Danish Traditions. I’ve also got Scottish and Irish from my Dad’s side so and I believe you said you were originally from Scotland? Do you ever share Scottish traditions and recipes? Thank you ~ Shary ~

We use to do this with old Sear's and Eaton's catalogue in the 1960's. Lots of fun for the kids!☺
