Oh God, my heart was in my mouth watching that little baby moose being almost swept away in that river. I guess the mother will fatten up with the new grass because she looked really skinny. Maybe she was old too. I and my daughter will be going to Yellowstone again this year to film and photograph. Can't get enough of this paradise. Thanks MaxWaugh for this beautiful film. This was wonderful. We are going in mid-May and hope it's not too early to see the new babies of all of the species you show. Where is the best place to see Moose? It's been several years and I remember seeing numerous buffalo and elk, but only one moose and one bear. Thank you so much.
Betty, you'll see some baby animals by then, though it may be a bit early for some of the ungulates. Bison calves and hopefully bear cubs. If you're lucky, maybe a moose calf. The best place to look for moose in Yellowstone is in the northeast corner, from Round Prairie/Pebble Creek all the way up into Silver Gate/Cooke City out of the park.
