- This run was just filled with damage upgrades so of course I had to keep getting them until I broke everything. If you listen closely you can hear my PC slowly dying... hopefully it can last until I fully beat this game.

DF, the AOE upgrade makes the slow aura, damaging enemies, and enemies are faster but take more damage when near bigger, so you have more time to kill!
What does AOE stand for?

He has alot of AoE.
him having two really good aoe effects and passing over two gold aoe size upgrades in a row, the second time to take a common damage upgrade, is actually tilting lmao
He didn't have two, he had SEVEN (AoE size increases distance for the returning shots).

The abilities are the deputy drop chest things that you get. You can see their cool downs next to your bounty
My man had the one of the best builds I’ve ever seen and threw it out in two upgrades

"I don't think im gonna get any AOE so im gonna ignore the AOE range upgrade" while he has like 4 AOE effects
DF: has a lot of attack speed and has nothing getting near him.
Also DF: half’s attack speed and has everything getting near him.
Dude. The target deputy skill is always what kills you!!!
You have a nice attack speed going all around you, keeping the horde back, and then a deputy arrives and all of a sudden shots only go in one direction and the horde swarms!

Not trying to be a jerk, just want to say he had 6 AoE perks but I guess AoE attacks in his eyes are strictly attacks with AoE not passive attacks.

Abilities are like the periodically fire projectiles and those things. Also your AOE damage would totally be worth getting the gold upgrades.
I think the bad upgrades that he got that killed his build was the nitro explosion, and the projectile returns back. The deputy focus skill is kind of a bad one too because it's a double edged sword, he gains temporary buff but enemies can swarm him and uses up all his hearts on the ground.
Deputy focus is the problem. Nitro explosion is fine with projectile returns, but locking into just firing on deputies means that he can't clear chaff and they'll hit him in repeated succession and push the deputy away. EDIT: Also, AoE size increases the range of the returning shots before they come back, so is definitely not an upgrade that should be slept on when he has SEVEN effects affected by it.
I would say deputy with this class is suicide, slow projectiles sucks but, yeah DF doesn't care for "projectile speed" and shuriken offed him as he doesn't have any AoE
When DF said he wanted to just stand still and let the enemies die around him but not taking any aoe skills, cooldown reductions, nor pickup range upgrades was the greatest irony he said in his cup of coffee and burning PC
Man I would've loved to see how this run would've gone with a few more AoE upgrades.
The fact that he manages to pick bad upgrades but still make the video entertaining is crazy
I got to that point once.
It was wild. I had like twelve deputies on screen, none of them had any health, yet for some reason they all refused to die.

@@nugget5468 Yes surprisingly, imagine a jet engine flying near you. Don’t note the sound cause- obvious reasons, but picture the power of it. Then put that into his PC and you have a recipe for 2K spent on a monitor.

Yessssss you can make the damage and slow aura bigger, gezzzz like wtf man, every time he picks the range upgrade you can see the size increase, I know he is a bit slow when it comes to learning but open you eyes man.
I think the projectiles come back to you is what really screwed the build over in the end.
It would have been better with higher projectile speed

Always loves the aura slows enemies upgrade but hates the are of effect upgrade lmao
Area of effect increases the range of explosions or your Aura you could take enough of those upgrades that it covers the entire screen. It would help with wave clear but the size of explosions could cause lag.
These videos are pleasant to watch with my adhd because there’s so much stuff on the screen
Every time he passes up on a legendary radius increase for a blue or grey causes me physical pain
When he died by refusing to move, when he could easily dodge the extremely slow projectiles

DF saying he should stack damage with less than 100% crit is just prime DF.
My good sir, getting up to 100% crit is literally getting 1000% percent damage up.
I know it would be a completely different style of game, but I would absolutely love to see DF do a Pokémon nuzlock. I bet it would be hilarious!

you can go for even longer by going into your pause menu and turning off explosions and damage numbers when it starts to drop frames.

The "I can't read" Arthur meme fits DF and Angory Tom so freaking well.
"Is there a way for me to increase that AOE until it fills the screen?" immediately into "I don't have any AOEs to make bigger" is frustratingly par for the course at this point.
To answer your question, YES you can increase your aura effects to cover the screen, i did it

Pierce upgrades are still good for the shurikan upgrade since it adds 5 pierces and not unlimited pierces so it can't go back and forth through 3 mobs in a line without pierce upgrades.
too bad you didn't get the 2x attack speed if standing still lol, that with the crits explode, 6x faster attack speed but 3x less damage and there was another one that worked really well :D although It did lag the game like crazy ._.
I wonder if increasing his area of effect changes the range that his attack speed changes at.
If that was so, it'd be cool to make it thr size of the screen so that he could basically always have this character's attack speed boost.
He also seems to always forget the his AOE includes the auras that slow projectiles, enemies, and damages them.
if you are extra bigger its fun cuz
1.more enemy cuz you see further
2.everything is bigger you're shots if you have 15 hp shoot 2 ppl at once do that does remove 2 of you're pierce but thats a good thing i think
3.all you're area of effect better
4.more funny lag and more damage more bounty
If you stack enough cooldowns and have enough dashes, like 10 dashes with 80% cooldown and maybe some bouns from the dash rewards, you can run around with 3 different explosions on dash, never running out. Tie this in with raw damage, crit damage and area of effect and you just dash left and right, killing everything in one hit around you, as well as picking up everything on the screen all the time.
Also, the cooldown effects abilities like the shield you have, and it's possible to get the shield to like 5 second cooldown, as well as the stacking attack speed triggering more often etc.

DF says he’s stupid at least 3 times a minute, but he’s doing math in his head and doing well at a game at the same time. He’s very smart, he just doesn’t have common sense :)
Slower projectile speed is the most detrimental upgrade you can get. The issue is that your character fires on his own, so the longer a bullet takes to kill an enmey the more bullets your character will fire at that one enemy before taregting others. Theres not point firing 10 bullets at one guy, when he will die in 1 hit. Slow projectiles allow enemies to close the gap super fast on you, and have often lead to your run ending
You know, in theory you could do the area slow + the damage in the area every half second then just stack area effect upgrades and try to cover the screen with a slowing, constant damage field
Counterintuitively, the loss in precision was a boost since you are spraying crowds at that point

The +60% crit chance would've boosted your damage by a net 5x, since you were at 1000% crit damage, and it would boost you to 110% crit chance.
So it would've just been a straight up MASSIVE damage increase.
This is pain no area of affect DUDE YOU HAVE AN AURA

Quick tip for the ability that doubles your attack speed if you dont move: dashing ist not considered moving, so if you dash without touching left stick/WASD, you keep your attackspeed :)

df look at this build, you just build up damage and attack speed, probably critical chance too, you know, anything that helps melt everything that gets close to you and then you pick the projectile slower area with some shields

now that i think about it, you have been doing exactly that, except you went full glasscannon so my bad haha
idea! you should play raft and build all the way around the globe connecting your raft on both sides!
Turn off damage numbers in the later stages of the game to give you a LOT more FPS.
Honestly, I've noticed that it seems to be the _explosions_ causing a large amount of the lag, if not most of it.
You will always want fast projectiles and fast attack speed when you are one-shotting everything. If you combine them both, then you are shooting three times towards an enemy, instead of focusing the next one.
DF's videos are so calming yet so chaotic
I had an "immortal" build going with high CD reduction. I got down to about 20% and had multiple dashes, the heal dash, and the buff that uses up all the dashes at once. And the shield and the med kit. So every 30 seconds, I was healing for 9 hp. Damage output was too low so it was just a stalemate at some point.

Don't ignore crit chance... at 1000% you're doing 10x damage but 50% crit chance went help you as much as 100% would. Then at that point you just build crit damage and ignore regular damage. 100% crit damage>40 base damage
Im disappointed and proud of df, he does things that make me happy since its a good decision but almost all the times he forgets alot like he has 2 area effects the slow and the poison and he SAYS he DOESN'T have any area effect when he could have had increase those two area effects but as a df fan i've learned to suppress my disappointment still love your vids keep up the great work

It's just a norm now how Df ends up with a mad tier build but then backtracks with one upgrade killing off half of his picks thus killing him 😂
Normally, firing from both ends is what hapens after a night of tacos and beer.
DF i think a fun build would be getting an aura the size of the screen (hopefully garlic or intimidating reward) so that spawn=death

df you can farm that on the first sheriff and dont hit him and just dodge until its fully charged up and it won't reset if it is fully charged

honestly i feel like the less accurate for attack speed is a bad upgrade. for example if an enemy is about to hit you that accuracy down will let them walk through your attack.

When you get the Damage/Slow AoE upgrades, why not get the upgrade that increases the AoE size? Have like half/all the screen being slowed or damaged!
Please take projectile speed. Bullets reach enemies faster which means that you switch targets faster and waste less bullets firing at the same target. Btf love you vids.
The projectile slowing around you slows ur attacks too, I never take that one.

Have you tried Soulstone Survivors? It definitely feels like a you kind of game - ridiculous combos, insane ability upgrades, and oh yes - **Tons of damage**

you do know that your auras would increase in size if you took the area affect perks right? not picking those legendary perks was a bad choice. also turning off the damage numbers will help with lag

100% crit chance, shoot orbiting projectile, always pierce on crit and you have an always increasing amount of orbiting projectiles that never disappear. Think about it.
at the begining DF is playing it smart but as he goes further he seems to loose stratigy
