- A quick video of messing around with my Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol chambered in .357 Magnum. This is done kind of in the spirit of my real early videos, its short with lots of slow motion and some cool angles. This Desert Eagle is the Mark I version and is made in Israel. One day I will do a video explaining the specs and all that fun stuff, but today I just wanted to shoot it since the Desert Eagle pistols are some of my favorite guns. This is the first video this particular Desert Eagle has been featured all by itself.

I like the .357 model it holds more rounds as well as stopping power.
Stopping power?! More than 44 mag or 50 ae NO lol you should have said more acurate
looks like the .357 is much more reasonable than the .50
I like them both for different reasons, cost of ammo for .357 and each one is so different from one another as far as shooting experience, both are fun for different reasons. I just enjoy shooting a Desert Eagle no matter the cartridge it shoots.
I think you can fit 9 rounds instead of 7 when using the .357 ammo.
xTerminatorEightySeven What ammo are you using there?? I used some today that jammed EVERY TIME in my 357 L5.
NYG5 yes because your ears will be safe than .50 and your eyes also will be safe in night.

Great Video,thanks for putting it up.I had a Mk1 that i converted to a Mk7(adj.trigger,slide stop,safety levers)and put on millet adj.sights.Like a dummy i sold it to buy some hop up parts for a GT-500 that i no longer have(thru that money away).I still have a Mk7 in .44 with a Mk XIX .50 conversion kit(costly route).As i write this i have a .357 conversion kit coming,i miss that cal.in that gun and more practical to shoot.

when i have enough cash the first two large caliber desert eagle pistols i would love to purchase and own would be a .44mag brushed chrome desert eagle mk19 and a black .357 desert eagle mk19

Yeah, this one seems to kick about as much as the .40 S&W PT24/7 I first shot with - that is to say, comfortably so. You FEEL like you shot a round, but it's perfectly comfortable.
It's a very light recoil.
NOTE:
The Desert Eagle was originally created as a spiritual successor to .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum revolvers.
Some advantages of it are:
1) The clip-fed system provides a faster reload.
2) The slide spring decreases recoil.
3) The clip-fed system increases magazine capacity.
4) The interchangeable barrel system allows for a very large amount of calibers to be shot out of the Desert Eagle.
It has less recoil because the slide spring absorbs some of it

@@exterminator87 as long as you have a way to keep it from bulging out of your clothing by wearing a shoulder holster, or having a holster on your back on your waist band
I'd really like a black MK I (there's nothing I'd do with the rails anyway) .357 desert eagle. I would go for nickel or even gold chrome! The problem is, I don't think that MRI sells the MK I on their website.

This would be my carry gun if i lived in the states and if walking on trails with bears etc
I onow im 2 yrs late but that will just piss the bear off. If you plan on killing one with a handgun youll need something bigger and know where to shoot with speed and accuracy.
If ya want to use a desert eagle go for the .44 mag or 50 action express or jump to 454 casull or 460 or 500 magnum or 600 nitro anything lower than a 44 will anger the bear and may cause it to charge or flee but if i were you id do a bit of research on bear anatomy and adjust my loadout accordingly. 👀
The Mark I is no longer in production, your best bet would be gunbroker or used at a gunshow or store.

It won't cycle it, the gun prefers 158 Gr. .357 the most, I haven't even bothered shooting less but I've gotten 142 Gr. to work out of someone elses Desert Eagle in the past.

I own a .50 and a .44 in addition to this one, sometimes I just want to shoot same gun but cheaper.
Makes sense i own a few arms as well i just stick to a lighter weight 5-6 shot wheel gun when i want to let off some smaller .357 rounds but whatever suits u

John Doe because 50AE is expensive as hell. 357 mag has way more practicality for personal defense or hunting. 50AE is way overpowered and is just for the range to turn heads
I still enjoy my .50AE too, it could make a good larger game hunting gun or for knocking steel targets over much further away. Personally I chose to just get one in each available cartridge (.357, .44, .50AE). I like them all.
I have both barrels,, but the 357 loads 2 extra shots, and its easier to rapid fire while maintaining tight groupings,, by the time you shoot 3 (.50ae) shots on target,, I would of emptied my entire 357 magazine on target.
