A lot of the cables and wire rope used in mining and trams was made by John A. Roebling’s Sons Company who made all the cables and ropes used on the Golden Gate bridge. John A. Roebling designed the Brooklyn Bridge, and founded his steel wire manufacturing company in 1849 in Trenton, New Jersey.
John A. Roebling designed the Brooklyn Bridge but never got to see it. He passed away July 1869 and the bridge construction began six months later in January 1870. It was officially opened May 1883, and was originally called New York and Brooklyn Bridge or the East River Bridge but was officially renamed the Brooklyn Bridge in 1915.
good looking explore there sonny Jim .....you need to take samples ......looks like someone cut that ball mill open to get in to remove any Gold that was trapped in it
Thanks for watching Jeff! Wonder how much gold I've passed up at the places I go, would be interesting to know. Maybe one day I'll start sampling some spots..
4:04 Ok.. Here we Have BRICK.. So in Horse and Buggy Days, they Hauled All Kinds of "Brick" Up into A Desolate Location? o__o (Something is Not being Told us, ....since Birth)
@@DeaFBRED Well, I'm pretty sure those bricks were brought up there most likely by a Model T Ford if I had to guess. That engine on top of the ore bin dates to most likely the same time period as that boiler and boiler's foundations. Circa 1915-1920
Thanks man, it was such a fun couple of days. Never could have imagined that before going up there. Hope to be up there sometime in the near future. Thanks for watching.
Hi Jerith, what a cool adventure, to find those stamps was pretty rare they are usually taken or sold. The old ball mill still there was a great find too. The mine was awesome with quite a few drifts and that one ore chute that was really steep was quite unique, I haven't seen any that thin and at such a steep angle before. I'm looking forward to see what you guys find in part 2. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Hey Sue, those stamps and ball mill were really cool to see. Glad the mine was pretty extensive we got a bit of dark time. Hope you enjoy the next one. Thanks for watching!
Get in there and scrape that ball Mill I bet you get a nice little sample of what they were getting out of that mine. ASK JEFF Williams would do for sure lol great video buddy keep up the great work and most of all be safe out there. 🇺🇸🇺🇸⛏💎⚒🧨🍻
That bike ride was just that a bike ride ! I would not ride a bike on that road for ell the rice in China! Why? Because my tire would have hit a rock and away I would have gone over the handle bars at about 30 miles an hour. I would love going in that mine as an explorer . Now that would be fun!
Well okay, Impressed, Great commentary and everything you could ever want from an old mine site. And this was my first time watching Sub and Bell looking forward to part 2. Oh and Shared on FB
Wow! Nice tour of a great mining complex. Will we get to see more of the stopes Daniel explored in the followup videos? Thanks for the good work. We'll look forward to the next.
If you had a handheld FTIR, you could see if there are any minerals still there and what they are. If you had a squirt bottle, you could get some of the dust off of the rocks to see them better.
Hello I'm Daniel... These are the Sur Ron X Black edition with slight mods. I use them all over Death Valley with great success. I carry an extra battery and after a good days explore I can recharge both bikes and the extra battery twice with 1 gallon of gas through a generator it's a great trade off for being remote and gas rationing.
Awesome finds 👏 great video as well but I am wondering there was a rv trailer I noticed ? Was it there claim #1 and what the Altitude you are at ? Gold mine ? Thanks jeff
Hey Jeff, I'm sure the trailer was left there by someone camping there. Might have been the claim owner back in the 90s or early 2000s. We were at about 5,000+ feet in elevation. And it is a gold mine. Thanks for watching!
Haven’t been there in a few years. Anyone still living in the house by the trailer? I stayed a few nights at that cabin further up the road from that mine.
The trailer looks to be long abandoned. Pretty trashed up. And very cool! We only went up to the cabin and mine then called it a day. Thanks for watching!
Great videography!! I know where this is, visited the area twice in 1997. My "Field notes of mine explorations" shows a sketch of the first adit; it matches your video; the second longer, straight adit, I think I missed that. Did you spend the night in the cabin?
Thanks alot! Awesome that you got a chance to head up there it's quite the area. We did not stay at the cabin we stayed in town, we camped there a few days. We talked with the new claim owner and a couple of his buddies, bunch of great guys if you ever get to meet them. Thanks for watching!
That’s sweet those things are pretty awesome I I have to admit. Were I live we hit I death valley an Fishtank valley a lot in the mountains surrounding all that we try to use the floor by but we always bring dirt bikes with us and then of course you’re always hiking some of them. They are the good ones. Keep up the great work man I love the videos. And be safe out there. 👍🇺🇸
Nice to meet you guys up there at the cabin. Many thanks for not saying exact locations...people should adventure and discover on their own!
They must have found lots of gold in this mine the way they kept blasting and digging.
Right off the bat you have a '46 Ford truck and what looks like a '36 Dodge coupe on it's side. Can't wait to see what else you find. Great videos

Talking about Roebling, I actually found a spool that had that brand on it. Probably dates to the 40s or 50s. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

Remarkable find with all the equipment! Really hope you can go back and do a part II to this. Great video Jerith!
Another awesome mine...another kickass video!!
Appreciate that dude! Glad you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching
Those bikes are the way to go to travel to these mines, saves a lot hiking.
Yeah they're great! By the time I hike up there I wouldn't have much time at all to do any exploring.
Awesome video. Looking forward to the next ones. Stay safe.

Good stuff, Jerith and Daniel. Looks like fun!
Thanks Tom and Julie! This was such a fun explore you don't see mines like this everyday. Thanks for watching.
Very good video Jerith! Thanks for coming along for one of my favorite places to visit.
Thanks man, it was such a fun couple of days. Never could have imagined that before going up there. Hope to be up there sometime in the near future. Thanks for watching.

Coolest mine video Ive seen yet!!
Awesome, glad to hear it! Thanks for watching.
The very cool mine. Also enjoy the electric bikes. Crazy how far batteries have come.
Yeah they're great for these types of explores, in and out basically. Thanks for watching!
Awesome mine. There are some really neat artifacts
Hey Naomi, very cool equipment and artifacts inside and outside definitely. Thanks for watching!

Wow, what a mine!! Iv'e seen a lot of mine vids and this one is as good as it gets for its inards!
Glad you enjoyed! It's definitely one of my favorites that I've been to. Thanks for watching!
Looks fantastic! Wow so cool
Thanks man! It definitely was.
Wow! Nice tour of a great mining complex. Will we get to see more of the stopes Daniel explored in the followup videos? Thanks for the good work. We'll look forward to the next.
Turns out, no more ladders up there but the stope keeps going up
There will be another video of this trip, in another area. Hope you enjoy!
Awesome video. I can't believe how big it was. I subscribed
Thanks for watching and subbing! These mines are surprisingly big given the remote location. Lots of cool stuff out there.
You guys weren't alone up there. I could see others a couple times hanging by that camper trailer yonder the back.
Dopeness galore!
Thanks man! Was such an amazing explore, those mountains are something else.
Did you see that date below and to the right of the serial number? 2 10 19 cool
I didn't actually, great eye! That's definitely an oldie.
I just started watching your videos, good work , I'm enjoying them! What's the story with the camper in the background?
Super cool vid! I wish I could go with you some time!
Awesome exploration, what kind of bikes are those?
The brand is Sur Ron, they're electric bikes great for those rocky roads. Thanks for watching!
Off the hook boys.
If you had a handheld FTIR, you could see if there are any minerals still there and what they are. If you had a squirt bottle, you could get some of the dust off of the rocks to see them better.
That's a phenomenal find! What mountains is that located in?
At 4:18 likely are foundations for a steam engine now gone.
Another amazing video, thanks alot. Tell me about those bikes. Brand names, models.

@@westernprospector2023 Thank you.
you should go in side the ball mill, with hammer and chisel, lot of gold stuck in that mill.
Don't you think that spot where you said " look at all this wood strewn about " was a collapse ?
Because that wood looked like it was splintered .
do you keep any of the artifacts you find? Also, how could he tell the bad air?
Awesome finds 👏 great video as well but I am wondering there was a rv trailer I noticed ? Was it there claim #1 and what the Altitude you are at ? Gold mine ?

Everything you could ever want from an old mine.
Most definitely!
Awesome !
I wonder how long they dug there?
7:10 I Sooo wish you had seen the crank handle and checked if it was seized up. 😔😉
I seen it after rewatching the video. Would be cool if I checked and it still cranked.
What year is that 5th wheel behind u
Killer, worth a revisiting
Most definitely! Thanks for watching.
seems to be in a "western movie" 😀👍 I made some videos about hiking in Italy, if you wanna take a look!

مرحبا
مرحبا صديقي كيف هجروا وتركوا دكرياتهم خلفهم متى كان داكلك.
Cool video. I know there was a lot of things or time edited out. What kind of bikes were those?
They are Sur Ron brand ebikes. Very reliable and quite rugged.
Bad air = barking spiders
I would imagine the water lines you point out are actually steam lines that wouldve powered a hand held steam jack hammer/chisel/drill
more likely compressed air. Steam would be a killer underground.
Pretty sure that engine is off a Ford Model A 6:35
Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it. Pretty old equipment scattered all around dating to that period. Teens and 20s
Old truck at beginning is a 1940's Ford.
Thanks for that!
You definitely need to in vest in a dirt bike with a big fuel tank my friend
These are electric bikes, they can do up to 25 miles on these rocky roads. That's without bringing an extra battery

well at least your much more educated and probably intelligent than some of the others who post video exploration of old mines .
Any snakes
FAR too many ads for a half hour video
Outstanding video. Please don’t post the location. The area has already suffered from major vandalism, especially that lower mine area.
I live in Wa. state but would love to know where this mine is for my bucket list pleeeeease ?
I was a coal mine man
