Hi there! I found out about Bradford’s after moving into a rental house where two of them were planted in the front yard. One died from what I believe was a fungus. The other is fine so far. I never thought they were great trees, so sensitive to wind and ice.
Our neighbor’s recently lost about half of its branches in a storm. They grow fast and have weak joints and are vulnerable to damage. They’ve taken over entire acres here in Maryland, it’s heartbreaking to see them smothering out so much land. And they still sell them at garden centers here! Ack!!
