Well he's obviously in the air due to the fact that you need the windows open before take off due to a safety in case the plane crashes and u can see

Hes in the air but he's not absolutely moving

Ok so on a boat if I drop my hat it's supposed to fall straight down. Well it doesn't , the mass of air the boat is going against is strong enough to hold it and I have to watch it go backwards. A cannon ball would do the same if the speed of the boat was fast enough and the drop long enough. Now if you talking about an enclosed mass of air then it's a little tricky but there's still a way to tell if the box is moving.

Only if the boat is accelerating however if the boat stays at one speed then It will fall straight down if there is no air resistance in a inertial frame of reference you cannot detect whether if you are moving or not

@@kiwimonk3696 so on the outside of the boat there is air resistance and the hat doesn't drop straight, but inside the cabin of the moving boat the hat falls straight down. Replace the hat with a helium balloon what happens to it inside a moving boat?

@@Flat_Earth_101 the balloon will go straight up from the Observer on the boat and from The Observer from the outside it will curve up

It goes backwards relative to you because you're moving but _the air isn't._ This means that there's drag on the hat. If the air were moving with you, the hat would fall straight down.

The question you have to ask yourself is always the same conundrum that has presented itself since Newton. The same one now since Einstein. How does space know which way to Quantumly bend or "spooky action" itself, simply based upon which way we move or which way (CW or CCW) we rotate something? How does it Quantumly curve, or "gravity" itself like space has to? The answer is it Doesn't. What ever causes it we won't be able to be detect it like Michelson-Morley tried. It WILL be something that we can detect in the same way we can detect the Cosmic Background Radiation. It will have the same properties as the CBR. Something like a dipole particle of energy that can be polarized. Something that has Quanta to it. Something very similar to what Tesla said "permeates the entire universe like particles of air," like a cloud of energy. Something that can flow like radio waves right through an atomic structure with a slight refraction and cause something to deflect in an apparent "gravity" regardless of which way we move or rotate through it. Something that will cause Newton's laws, regardless of which way we move or rotate through it.
