They've had some things go against them, for example the early whistle against spurs.

I am a Gooner since 1997/98. The idea of Liverpool as our hated rival never came across my mind. Man Utd was our main rival during Wenger-Ferguson era. Once the rivalry between Man Utd and Arsenal subsided, the main hated rivalry shifted to Spurs (traditionally). Only now, this season, we recognised Man City as our most hated rival. Cheers.

1989 arsenal winning the title at anfield with 1 min to go makes Arsenal our biggest rival as I was there watching Michael Thomas scoring the goal and broke our hearts, that's what makes arsenal our rival. You cannot understand as you were not born Husam. Modern day fans only know the prem era so I don't blame their lack of knowledge on who our rivals are.
I was there too, but I was one of the ecstatically happy Gooners that night. Greatest moment ever for me since I first started watching Arsenal in 1965 and I am still supporting them. I don't think even one of us dared to believe we could win that night, but we did, by the two goals we needed. What a night. The train trip back to London was a bit of a beer induced haze, as was the rest of the weekend.

As an Arsenal fan I have to say it stung far more having to watch Liverpool provide the only credible challenge to City over the last few years than it did having to watch City win everything. City don’t really bother me - I can very easily shrug off all of their success because it all feels very artificial and not something that anyone else can replicate. But with you guys it actually hurt, even when you were falling just short, because there was no way to mentally dismiss the fact that you were good - it forced us to have a long look at ourselves and ask why we weren’t doing the same with similar resources. It felt relevant. City have never felt relevant as an example to follow.

I actually broke a finger on my left hand when I hit it on the roof of the carriage somehow but never knew a thing about it until the following morning. On the Monday, I had a temporary pin inserted at the hospital. Made life difficult as a chef with just one hand for a while, but luckily I could just delegate to my staff. Have to admit though, it was worth the pain for a few days.
