In Q-5 why did you not take 'alpha-beeta=-4' why took position value.. Will it be same with every similar question?

In 78 correct answer is option A
For 100 observation S.D=100×3=300
For 60 observation S.D=60×2=120
Remaning for 40= (300-120)=
180÷40=4.5
