Not surprising-- while this album pre-dates the Doom remake by a couple years, Mick Gordon was drawing on similar influences while composing that soundtrack as Utsu-P was while composing this -- early 10s electronic/dubstep, progressive metalcore (later "djent" although that wasn't a common term at the time IIRC, or was just starting to come around)
