Herc is a great interviewer,he puts "professional" journalists to shame.He doesnt interupt the guest, and listens carefully to the answers, meaning his next question is relevant and the guests stories have a chance to flow well-kudos !!
He really is a great interviewer. For me he's up there with NPR's Fresh Air host Terry Gross who I find to be one of the best interviwers around. Yes, he's up there with her in my opinion. Great Job Herc!

A lot of these bangers would be perfect for the military. If you are looking for rigorous living schedules and for someone to tell you what to do for 20 years just join the Army. At least you get a retirement check and benefits at the end of it.

That’s a fact man I’ve never been locked up but as a union worker there’s a shitload of guys I work with that came out and handled business now they make 40-45$ an hour
@NEGUS MBARKA my uncle was lock up for almost a decade and got a trade in there and is a carpenter makes $40 an hour.

I would just like to say that I respect Black. I think he is one of the few ex-cons that has removed and rejected the penitentiary mentality. He says what the pen life is but also makes a statement on what it means to be good and wholesome with none of that.
A noteworthy quote from one of his interviews is that if you a regular citizen, tell the police what you see and work with the positive aspects of the system, although he acknowledges the bad sides. The bad sides being the injustice imprisonment and length of time individuals received (as well as the other slew of bad things such as the experience of the prison system). Hats off man. You are what Big Herc is trying to get out.
