You know its often said that the moon represents humanity as well as the Mother, and your first reading reminded me of humanity, with so many people homeless, without food, shelter, water, clothing and suffering anguish, anxiety, illness and confusion, their basic birth rights taken from them and pushed into a dark corner, contracted with no or little provisions. You know its often said that the moon represents humanity as well as the Mother, and your first reading reminded me of humanity, with so many people homeless, without food, shelter, water, clothing and suffering anguish, anxiety, illness and confusion, their basic birth rights taken from them and pushed into a dark corner, contracted with no or little provisions. I see individuals going out on the street and bringing these forgotten and deprived people food, clothing and at times shelter, while others voluntarily clean homes of people suffering under mental overwhelm and doing so with no judgement against them, and other going and cleaning up lawns and yards of people who are not able to manage it themselves or to help keep the community clean and tidy. There are many heroic men and women doing their best and going over and beyond to try to help humanity in the best way they can - these are the true noble and honorable people who transform the world with the very little they have. The wonder of God to perform the impossible is seen through them, and yet God can do much greater wonders and make the impossible possible.
