I might be wrong but I thought in an earlier video you weren’t using a hip belt.your thoughts on posture and anterior tibialis sound spot on. Here is a response I got from chatGPT: Yes, backpacking without a hip belt can increase the chances of getting anterior tibialis tendinitis. The hip belt helps distribute the weight of the backpack more evenly across your body, reducing the strain on your shoulders and lower back. Without a hip belt, the additional weight and pressure can lead to overuse of the lower leg muscles, including the anterior tibialis, which can result in tendinitis. It's essential to use a well-fitted backpack with a hip belt to minimize the risk of injuries during long hikes.
Rain is good in this area of San Diego, and usually it only rains December to February, the "springtime" in this chaparral habitat. The manazanitas and Ceanothus are blooming now, with the latter covering the hillsides in purple-blue as I saw in your videos. You made a wise choice to stay out of the storm, it will be sunny and fairly warm soon enough. There are quite a few reasonably priced cabins out there that several of you could have chipped in to get for the second night.
Hey RP! Is that you? Holy cow I just saw your channel. I’ll be starting in a couple weeks. Doubt I’ll catch up to you but who knows. Sending a message on LinkedIn with my details.
