Hey Marco, negative sequence is opposite of positive sequence or system. If the system sequence is ABC then negative sequence will be ACB. Similarly, if the system sequence is ACB then the negative sequence will be ABC. Hope you find it useful. Regards, GeneralPAC by AllumiaX
In Power System Protection course we will cover the requirements needed to design protective devices and the applications of these devices through a schematic diagram. Furthermore, this course will analyze the effects of all types of faults in power system along with the easy hand on calculations. To develop your strong concept on fault analysis we will discuss how faults can be identified by analyzing waveforms. Lastly, you will learn the most tedious and complex theory of symmetrical components that are found in different types of faults. This module consists of six parts, each building upon your knowledge based on previous ones. Currently, we are offering 90% discount, join us before it ends: bit.ly/3ZXIkHl

If you have a single phase system with a fault it’s easy to calculate If=Vf/Zeq but if you have a three phase system and get a L-G fault on one phase (say ex Phase A), it becomes an unbalanced system because the two other phase (B & C) do not have a fault.
This lecture is correct . They all rotate CCW - it it taught wrong in India from what I have seen in the Indian TH-cam videos. See Why do Indian lecturers say the rotation will be different ? The rotation is same it is only The SEQUENCE THAT IS DIFFERENT for negative sequence. For zero sequence the rotation is same it just has No Sequence - that is why it is called ZERO sequence. It is all in phase. Is this what is taught in India? See here and read about vector rotation. www.transmissionprotection.com.au/topics/symmetrical-components/

Correction @ 5:32 : The *zero* sequence component has no phase sequence (not negative).
That is exactly what was stated no correction needed
@@clembanner6320 He misspoke. So, the commenter corrected it.
These videos are gems 💎
Thank you Mike for the appreciation. :)
Is negative sequence always ACB, or is negative sequence opposite of the systems sequence?

Very good video series. Do you have any videos on formulation the Zbus??
The background music is noisy while your explanation was good.

Perfect lecture thanks so much
So the +seq, -seq and zero sequence comes from unsymmetrical set or balanced sys???
It’s using symmetrical components (balanced) to solve for an unbalanced fault. Basically applying it to make an unbalanced system a balanced one.
how to get positive negative and zero sequence
Nicely explained but background music is very much annoying and distracting
Does negative sequence component exist in L-G fault
ajay yadav negative sequence is in every unbalanced fault
If you have a single phase system with a fault it’s easy to calculate If=Vf/Zeq but if you have a three phase system and get a L-G fault on one phase (say ex Phase A), it becomes an unbalanced system because the two other phase (B & C) do not have a fault.
better understanding
Very nice lecture. But the music is just a bit distracting.
if ABC is rotating in ccw then ACB should be in CW direction. But you are saying that both will rotate in CCW!
I realized the same also in previous videos !
Here the position of phasors have been changed.

interchanging any 2 phases change the direction of a motor, here he is talking about a generator
Please remove back ground music
