Excellent job, glad you finally got it right, this is very encouraging to know that a nursery of the Wambugu apples is taking formation where novice and expects can both learn from
I'm from Uganda and I have not yet bought them but this is was exactly I was planning to do as soon I start the project thanks for the research. Because I will buy 112 trees and from the 12 I will do the research.
You only need indeginous apple as rootstock from anywhere.no magic here. and Anna apple for the zion.look for anna.the trick is to prune always and keep the plant well manured and watered
Hi, I am a Jamaican living in New York. I have been following the wambugu apple farming videos. My intention is to try to start farming wambugu in the Caribbean. I have an idea with I think may or may not work however I'm going to share my idea with you, I don't think it would hurt to try. The root stock sometimes springs shoots which is encouraged to be removed, I think if you allow a few of these branches to mature you could use them to create new root stock then you could graft them with sion from the the wambugu branches. I think I might be Worth a try. God's blessings
My brother Weldon, I like what you are doing, for Propagating of Wambugu apple rootstock, l need an update to know how much progress you have done. Thanks.
Good Job my brother some people are saying you should be stopped for piracy please do not mind them continue with your good work. They did trial and came up this by chance who knows if what you are doing will give birth to something better. After all if something is priced to high people try to find better ways of doing it at a cheaper cost.I am next to you- Saminaka
This technique that they used to develop Wambugu has been there for ages. It is just that Africa was sleeping while westerners perfected this technique for their environment.
Am in Kenya. Here in Kenya to be honest, that price of 10 usd per seedling is also too expensive for majority of the people who would want to venture into Wambugu apple farming.
You r a huge blessing. Just discovered your channel n I v subbed. I v just started poultry business ii want to expand into tree mix farming. Will get in touch with u as soon as I v extra to channel this way. Tnx so much for what u r doing.
Nice one sir am from abia risiding in owerri I hope to work with you, I have been working on bittercola Garcinia from seed ,but this time apple is also good to try keep it up sir
God bless you my brother. I like the spirit. I bought 20 seedlings of Wambugu when it was 5dollars each and out of these I have lost 19 remaining one which is about 2years now and has not fruited. By God's grace if yor research comes out fine I may consider to have a large plantation getting seedlings from you.
@@africatodaykeOoh my God. What. Thank you Titus. I thought this man is Wabugu representative in Nigeria. Too bad for Nigerians. I have questioned him in one of comments. Great Brother. I support your initiative and probably cet in touch with you by paying a visit to your orchard. Kindly forward me all required informations when coming from Togo. Thanks in advance.
Not necessarily. The variety of apple whose seed you're planting matters. If it took the parent plant 5 years to fruit, the seed will also take that long.
At the current exchange rate it should cost between 9 and 10 thousand per plant. With a 3meter by 3 meter spacing between plants and between rows. An acre can accommodate 430 to 450 plants
good idea on your part but there is no need to do a video. this is akin to piracy if you ask wambugu apples company because you are using their property wrongly.

it is theft, not good at all. he should get his rootstock and develop his apple variety. pirating wambugu apples is wrong.

You're welcome. Now is a good time to start.
Easiest root stocks will develop from the soil around the established plant, especially if you cut some of the roots.

How much is a wamgubu seedlings in Nigeria and how many seedlings do u need on an arce of land
At the current exchange rate it should cost between 9 and 10 thousand per plant. With a 3meter by 3 meter spacing between plants and between rows. An acre can accommodate 430 to 450 plants
10$ is too much for seedlings
@DonaldTrumpsTinyHands I think the price is fair too
If the price was half people will not bother trying to propagate seedlings.
Please any update?
Did ut work after time?
Thanks for asking. Actually the propagation I tried didn't work. But watch my next video. I am trying something again
Sir,i need some seedlings to plant.

How can you be contacted.
Ok. I get your point....just call it XYZ apple but not Wambugu....Thanks
Africa will never progress if this knowledge is not shared and used. The market is too big for Wambugu to be affected negatively.
