Excellent job, glad you finally got it right, this is very encouraging to know that a nursery of the Wambugu apples is taking formation where novice and expects can both learn from

I'm from Uganda and I have not yet bought them but this is was exactly I was planning to do as soon I start the project thanks for the research. Because I will buy 112 trees and from the 12 I will do the research.

You only need indeginous apple as rootstock from anywhere.no magic here. and Anna apple for the zion.look for anna.the trick is to prune always and keep the plant well manured and watered

Hi, I am a Jamaican living in New York. I have been following the wambugu apple farming videos. My intention is to try to start farming wambugu in the Caribbean. I have an idea with I think may or may not work however I'm going to share my idea with you, I don't think it would hurt to try. The root stock sometimes springs shoots which is encouraged to be removed, I think if you allow a few of these branches to mature you could use them to create new root stock then you could graft them with sion from the the wambugu branches. I think I might be Worth a try. God's blessings

This technique that they used to develop Wambugu has been there for ages. It is just that Africa was sleeping while westerners perfected this technique for their environment.

Am in Kenya. Here in Kenya to be honest, that price of 10 usd per seedling is also too expensive for majority of the people who would want to venture into Wambugu apple farming.

Not necessarily. The variety of apple whose seed you're planting matters. If it took the parent plant 5 years to fruit, the seed will also take that long.

At the current exchange rate it should cost between 9 and 10 thousand per plant. With a 3meter by 3 meter spacing between plants and between rows. An acre can accommodate 430 to 450 plants
