Praying that Luca's doctor heals as safely and quickly as possible. In the meantime, keep the faith. It is very hard to wait for surgery knowing that you need it. Just take it slow and don't let yourself stress about this. It makes sense to stay in Italy and to keep the doctor who is the most familiar with your situation. As for the plumbing, I am glad to see that you got professionals in. It is amazing how much they got done. Even the handiest folks learn that renovations of any type (but on 1,000 year old home!) can take longer and have more unpleasant surprises. Time is money and sometimes as my friends learned when they renovated a home, it's better to hire help. In the end, it usually saves money, time and frustration with the many challenges of any kind of renovation. When is Luce turning 2? Isn't it sometime soon in March? Good morning to all of you. My husband had his own chrome plating business and suggested that you don't paint the chrome pipe because the paint will most likely peel. The chrome would have to be sandblasted to give the paint a tooth for the paint to adhere. That means taking the pipes off to do so. This in itself would compromise the benefits of having a chrome pipe. Not to mention Sicily can get very hot and with the cold water running through the pipe this will create condensation and the paint will peel. Not a good look. You would not be happy with that end result. Stick with what you have. Mixing materials can be very nice looking. You can add accents of chrome or silver to complement it. An idea about the basement: The room with the two small windows can be for olive oil storage. You can lock it up with a wrought iron-barred door like in wineries. The room at the entrance can be an office and a place to entertain clients. Directly in front of the door, behind the column can be a desk with a background of that lovely stonework. To the right of the entryway, where the feeding nook is, you can put a leather couch, coffee table and two armchairs. You can commission a sign for your business from the people who make pottery. I know they also make colourful signs with olive motifs. You wouldn't need to make it perfect, the stonework would be a design choice. You can simply point the stones to make them look more presentable and put accent lighting on the walls.

Hello beautiful Italiano family 😊❤ My father was born in Italy and lived there until migrating to Australia when he was 16. I hope that one day I can visit my heritage homeland, but I’m over 50 now, so I’m not sure if I ever will get the opportunity. Looks incredible there. Luca’s accent is awesome, I just love it, reminds me of how my grand parents spoke English, gives me a warm and cozy feeling, to hear it. It’s like I instantly trust anyone with that Italian broken English accent, like everything they say is sincere. I want Luca to heal so badly, he’s such a wonderful husband and father, he deserves to be with you both and he should be with his family to protect, provide and love them forever, I wish for his complete healing all the time. Sara Forgot to say earlier that it is great to hear that you are OK and that the MRI showed no problems. You have done an amazing job of holding the family together and being there for Luca and Luce. You two are truly partners for each other, in all the moments of life. You are there for each other and for Luce, who reflects the kindness and thoughtfulness of her parents even at this early age. I look forward to hearing more about your interest and plans for farming. It is truly amazing how much life you and Lucca have lived, and are living. It's an inspiration to all of us who come here each week. You don't let anything get in the way of being together and enjoying every day as it comes despite the many challenges. I hope you both will allow yourself time for self care. Downtime is important, especially when you are full-time parents. Let the Nonas (Spelling?) take Luce every now and then when you can or even your local friends. Being a parent 24/7 is tough but add in renovations, maintaining the olive groves and dealing with health issues. It's a lot. And Luca, don't be down on yourself when projects don't turn out perfectly. Stuff happens and you do what you can, when you and with other help if needed. In life, we don't really have to do everything perfectly. You are already a fabulous husband and father and friend and family member. And that is what really matters. As you say, Love IS everything. (And how much do we love Luce saying that at the end of the video! OMG. Maybe you can get some modeling jobs for her! ) Hope the leaks get resolved sooner than later. The bathroom is really shaping up! Can't wait for the kitchen. And I hope you get the regular heat set up. I admire your ability to enjoy yourself even with all the moving around! When soldering repairs, you can hold a piece of tin or sheet metal against the wall , and after you solder, gently wipe the solder joint with a clean rag, it will be much cleaner for you and won’t stain the wall

An idea about the basement: The room with the two small windows can be for olive oil storage. You can lock it up with a wrought iron-barred door like in wineries. The room at the entrance can be an office and a place to entertain clients. Directly in front of the door, behind the column can be a desk with a background of that lovely stonework. To the right of the entryway, where the feeding nook is, you can put a leather couch, coffee table and two armchairs. You can commission a sign for your business from the people who make pottery. I know they also make colourful signs with olive motifs. You wouldn't need to make it perfect, the stonework would be a design choice. You can simply point the stones to make them look more presentable and put accent lighting on the walls.

Hello beautiful Italiano family 😊❤ My father was born in Italy and lived there until migrating to Australia when he was 16. I hope that one day I can visit my heritage homeland, but I’m over 50 now, so I’m not sure if I ever will get the opportunity. Looks incredible there. Luca’s accent is awesome, I just love it, reminds me of how my grand parents spoke English, gives me a warm and cozy feeling, to hear it. It’s like I instantly trust anyone with that Italian broken English accent, like everything they say is sincere. I want Luca to heal so badly, he’s such a wonderful husband and father, he deserves to be with you both and he should be with his family to protect, provide and love them forever, I wish for his complete healing all the time. Sara Forgot to say earlier that it is great to hear that you are OK and that the MRI showed no problems. You have done an amazing job of holding the family together and being there for Luca and Luce. You two are truly partners for each other, in all the moments of life. You are there for each other and for Luce, who reflects the kindness and thoughtfulness of her parents even at this early age. I look forward to hearing more about your interest and plans for farming. It is truly amazing how much life you and Lucca have lived, and are living. It's an inspiration to all of us who come here each week. You don't let anything get in the way of being together and enjoying every day as it comes despite the many challenges. I hope you both will allow yourself time for self care. Downtime is important, especially when you are full-time parents. Let the Nonas (Spelling?) take Luce every now and then when you can or even your local friends. Being a parent 24/7 is tough but add in renovations, maintaining the olive groves and dealing with health issues. It's a lot. And Luca, don't be down on yourself when projects don't turn out perfectly. Stuff happens and you do what you can, when you and with other help if needed. In life, we don't really have to do everything perfectly. You are already a fabulous husband and father and friend and family member. And that is what really matters. As you say, Love IS everything. (And how much do we love Luce saying that at the end of the video! OMG. Maybe you can get some modeling jobs for her! ) Hope the leaks get resolved sooner than later. The bathroom is really shaping up! Can't wait for the kitchen. And I hope you get the regular heat set up. I admire your ability to enjoy yourself even with all the moving around! PS: Let us know if you've decided anything about Luckyland. It would be great if you had folks you knew and trusted living their in your absence. If I lived in Italy, I'd love to live there for part of the year.

When soldering repairs, you can hold a piece of tin or sheet metal against the wall , and after you solder, gently wipe the solder joint with a clean rag, it will be much cleaner for you and won’t stain the wall
